WILLIAMSON, Russell John Russell John Williamson of Espanola passed away at the Espanola General Hospital on Wednesday, July 17, 2002 in his 87th year. Russell was a longtime businessman and proprietor of Western Tire and Williamson’s Automotive retiring in 1977. He was an active member of the Espanola Golf Club, Curling Club, the Lion’s Club and the Espanola Senior’s Club. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the War Pensioners and past president of Royal Canadian Legion Br. #39, Espanola. Beloved husband of the late Lou (nee Allain) (March 2002). Dear son of the late George and Lena (Coppins) Williamson. Loving father of Alan (wife Ghislaine) of Sault Ste. Marie, Ivan (wife Joyce) of London and Linda (Mrs. Darwyn Golden) of Espanola. Will be sadly missed by 6 grandchildren Marc, Kelly, Jennifer, Zachary, Jeff and Jason and 4 great grandchildren Devin, Cassie, Morgan and Vaughn. Dear brother of the late Howard, Harry, Mina and George Williamson, Violet Clark, Gladys Bishop, Lillian Aubrey, Elizabeth Hilton and Alice Creuss. Resting at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Friday, July 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 20, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Espanola with Father Al McMillan officiating. Cremation to follow with interment of the ashes in the Espanola Cemetery.
