Oliver ST. JOHN

ST. JOHN, Oliver "Keith" In loving memory of Oliver "Keith" St. John, 79 years of Sudbury who passed away peacefully Sunday evening July 21st, 2002 at the SRH - St. Joseph’s Health Center. He was born in Dundalk, Ontario. Keith came to Sudbury in 1957 from North Bay. Initially he worked for Canada Bread for many years. A well liked and respected insurance underwriter with Prudential Life for many years. Keith served overseas during WWII with the Canadian Army. He was a member of the War Pensioners of Canada. He was an avid bowler having won many competitions. He had been an active member of the Orange Lodge having served in various executive positions. Keith had attended the Salvation Army. Citadel and he was a man of faith who daily lived the lessons taught by Jesus. He will be remembered as a good listener and mentor to all who knew him. Keith had a great sense of humour and he was always quick to help others whether as a volunteer driver or visitor to cheer people up. He had a great appreciation of God’s creation especially birds. Keith has gone to be with His Lord & Saviour & reunited with family and friends in heaven and he can echo St. Paul’s words "I have fought the good fight, I finished my course. I kept the faith". Beloved husband of Doris (Grenier) St. John 1977 and Lillian (McAuley) St. John 2002 both predeceased. Loving father of Keith (wife Mary) of Sudbury, Wayne and Bonnie (husband Michael Meehan) both of Sault Ste. Marie, Carl predeceased (wife Amy of Sudbury). Cherished grandfather, Sean, Stacey, Tracy, Rebecca, Kelly, Gordon, James, Darcy, Jeffrey and Jennifer. Dear son of Emerson and Lillian St. John predeceased. Dear brother of Milton (wife Marg) St. John of Brampton, Vern St. John and Joyce Keating both of Orangeville and the late Ruby Hogbin and Jim St. John both predeceased. Sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Wednesday, July 24th, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment in the Parklawn Cemetery. A memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday under the auspices of the War Pensioners of Canada.
