BENEDETTI, Nicholas "Bibi" In loving memory of Nicholas "Bibi" Benedetti, 82 years, of Coniston, who passed away Friday morning, July 26th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Nicholas was born in Garson and moved to Italy with his parents at a young age. He married Pia (Contardo) in Italy in 1950 and settled in Coniston in 1951 from Italy. Originally a tapper at the Coniston Smelter, he then worked at the Fluid Bed Roasters at the Copper Cliff Smelter retiring from Inco in 1982 with over 30 years service. He was a Roman Catholic. Bibi was an honourary member of the Club Allegri and a past member of the Caruso Club. An avid gardener, he was a keen soccer fan. He will be remembered as an excellent cook who loved to share his many specialties with family and friends, especially his stuffed "roast" a treasured recipe from his father. He was a real people person who generously shared his opinions and advice with all who knew him. Bibi enjoyed family gatherings especially with his nieces and their children in Coniston. Nicholas will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Beloved husband of Pia (Contardo) Benedetti predeceased 1996. Loving father of Jim (wife Sandra) of Kanata, Denis (wife Kelly) of Erin and Terry (wife Carmela) of Newmarket. Cherished grandfather of Carla, Kurtis, Nicholas and Kevin. Dear son of Nicholas and Albina Benedetti predeceased. Dear brother of Yollanda Miani of Pordenone, Italy and the late Rizzieri, Fiori, Jimmy, Aurora (Giulio DiBenedetto), Alberto and Gualdino all predeceased. Dear brother in law of E. Florence "Babe" Benedetti of Sudbury and Alcea Benedetti of Coniston. A very special uncle to his devoted nieces Marina Glibbery (husband Ski) and Noreen Barbe (husband Joe) and their children; also sadly missed by niece and nephews Ofelia, Walter, Don, Robert, Gerry, Norm and their families. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Monday, July 29th, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
