PARKER, Jean Elizabeth (nee Giroux) In loving memory of Jean Elizabeth Parker (nee Giroux), 86 years, of Dowling, who passed away Saturday morning, August 10th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. She was born in Sudbury and married Lon Parker in 1938 in Sudbury. A life resident of the Sudbury area she had lived many years in Levack before moving to Dowling. She had been a custodian at St. Stephen’s School. A devout Roman Catholic she had been a founding member of St. Bartholomew’s Church and parish CWL. She took an active interest in the church’s ministries and projects. Jean was devoted to her loving family. Beloved wife of Lon Parker predeceased 1996. Loving mother of Theresa Zamojski (husband Stan) both predeceased, Jean Spilchen (husband Peter) of Renfrew, Jack predeceased 1964, Brian (wife Jo Anne), David (wife Heather) and Lonny (wife Peggy) all of Dowling. Proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Peter and Tessie Giroux predeceased. Dear sister of Joe (wife Annie), Julia (husband Pat Thompson) and Irene (husband Leonard Blake) all predeceased, John (wife Evelyn) of Brockville, Madelon Reid of London, Leah (husband Fred Way) of Pembroke, Peter predeceased (wife Millie of Winnipeg) and Laura Baker-Johnson predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Levack, Monday, August 12th, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Sudbury Catholic Cemetery.
