LACHAPELLE, Gertrude (nee Martel) - 1926 - 2002- Passed away peacefully at the West Nipissing General Hospital on Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at the age of 76. Dear wife of the late Lionel Lachapelle (1980). Left to treasure her memory are her children; Fleurette (Raymond Persian) of Sturgeon Falls, Rachelle Beaulne (Garnet Sinclair) of North Bay, Norbert (Diane) of Garden Village, Raymond (friend Patricia), Agnes (Richard St. Georges) of Azilda, Angéline (Brian Whaley) of Rutherglen and Tina (Jason Fyfe) of Toronto. Cherished sister of Gilbert (Solange - deceased), Len (Pauline), Claudette all of Sturgeon Falls, Raymonde (Clément Rivet) of Stinson and Normand of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by her brother Guy (Marie-Jeanne) and her sister Yollande (Albert Lavergne). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. At her request there will be no visitation. Reverend Denis Savignac will celebrate the funeral mass at the Sacré Coeur Church on Saturday, August 10 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
