LAPIERRE, Margaret L. (nee Lamoureux) In loving memory of Margaret L. (nee Lamoureux) LaPierre, 87 years, of Garson, who passed away Wednesday morning, August 28th, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph’s Health Centre. She was born in Winchester and married Charles H. LaPierre in 1937. Margaret was a well known and liked Garson resident. She came to the community in 1937. She and her husband owned & operated LaPierre Drug Store & Taxi Services for 14 years retiring in 1960. A devout Roman Catholic she attended St. John the Evangelist Church and belonged to the parish CWL for over 60 years. Fondly and lovingly called Grandma Cookie she had a million dollar smile and kind word for all who knew her. Margaret’s loving family meant the world to her. She took great pride and interest in their activities and accomplishment. Her light of love and life will continue to shine in their hearts. Beloved wife of Charles H. Fleming LaPierre predeceased 1982. Loving mother of Gloria predeceased, Lorraine Patrick of Garson, Ann Marie Kuula (husband Ron) of Falconbridge, Charles (wife Sheila), Fred (friend Beth Angus), Heather Cartmill (husband Kenneth) and Patrick (wife Dawn) all of Garson. Cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Elie and Emelie (St. Pierre) Lamoureux predeceased. Dear sister of Wilfred (wife Pierrette) and Alice Lewis both of Winchester and the late Beatrice, Clifford (infant), Edward, Ethel, Cyril, David, Felix, Clifford, and Ada all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, Garson, Friday, August 30th, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment in the St. John’s Cemetery, Garson. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. (Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday.
