SMITH, Edwina Irene (Therrien) At Meadow Park Nursing Home on Saturday August 31, 2002, Edwina Irene Smith (Therrien) passed away. Survived by her son Reg. Loving sister of Anne Mullen and Floretta Recollet. Sister-in-law of Lucy Therrien, and Leon Falardeau. Loving Aunt of Melford and Yvette Mullen, Linda and Sam Cuomo, Steven and Paola Mullen, Larry Therrien, Laurie and the late Pat Stuthridge, Fiona Passmore and Andrew and Karen Stuthridge. Also survived by half brother Gabriel and half sisters Colette, Adrienne, Gloria, Reina and Delia. Predeceased by her husband Reg (1987), daughter Karen (1985) and an infant son (1947), sister Aurore Falardeau, brother Leo Therrien, her parents Pierre Therrien and Irene Bertrand and her half sister Therese. Edwina was born in Casimir, Jennings and Appleby Townships, District of Sudbury on June 2nd, 1915. Edwina is a direct decendant of Andre Therrien, born 1611 in Charante Maritime, France, his son Pierre born 1640 in La Rochelle, province d’Aunis France, and his grandson Jacques born April 30th 1696 at St.-Jean, Ile-d’Orleans Quebec. In Edwina’s family line she was one of the oldest living members of the eighth generation of the Therrien’s born in Canada. Friends will be received at the LOGAN CHAPEL FURTNEY FUNERAL HOME, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ont. on Wednesday September 4th 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 397 Springbank Drive, London, on Thursday September 5th, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Sam Thomas officiating.
