"Poppa G" Passed away peacefully after a sudden illness at the Deep River Hospital, surrounded by his family. Loving husband of the late Lois Gareau (nee McDougall). Beloved father of Sandra (Mrs. Peter Hutchinson) of Port Elgin, Nancy (Mrs. Randy Burnett) of Deep River, Grant Michael (wife Danka) of Deep River, Gayle (Mrs. Stephen Severin) of Port Hope, and Drew (wife Elizabeth) of Stittsville. Adoring Poppa G. to his 10 grandchildren, Jason and Shaun Hutchinson; Courtney Burnett; Grant Michael Jr. (M.J.) and Jessica Gareau; Angela, Cheryl, and Kaitlyn Severin; Grant Dylan and Landon Gareau. Dear brother of Audrey (Mrs. Izzy Gauthier) and Robert (wife Betty), both of Pembroke. Predeceased by his parents Hector and Marjorie Gareau. Friends may call at the Valley Funeral Home, Deep River, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Council Church, Deep River on Monday, April 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment Community Cemetery, Deep River.
