At Union Villa on January 5, 2002, passed away peacefully at the age of ninety-two. Born in Montreal, Quebec on April 11, 1909, Hazel was the beloved wife of the late Donald A. Gray, formerly of Thornhill, Ontario and dear stepmother of Marilyn Dickinson of Thornhill. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Evelyn Wylie, her nephew Bruce Wylie and his wife Patricia and their children, all of St. Lambert, Quebec. Her brother W. Rupert Wylie predeceased her in 1995. Hazel retired from Bell Canada in 1964 after thirty-six years of service in Montreal and was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She traveled extensively and lived at the cottage she build on Lake Memphremagog in Mansonville, Quebec, then moved to Thornhill, Ontario upon her marriage to Donald in 1979. Friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St., North York (2 lights south of Steeles Ave.) after 1 p.m. on Wednesday followed by a complete service in the chapel at 2:30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
