of Smiths Falls, Ontario. With his loving family at his side on Sunday, January 6, 2002, in his 100th year. Predeceased by his cherished wife, Patricia Connolley. Dear father of Patricia (Dale Bjorgan), Catharine (Larry Manson), Frances (Jay Hitchins), Elizabeth McGuire (Frank Eggins), Cecelia (John Kalbfleisch) and Teresa (Robert Linton). Proud grandfather of Melissa (William Kuchma), Gillian Manson, Chad Hitchins, Tricia (Michael Brydges), Kristofer Bjorgan, Matthew Manson, Tess Linton, Katie Eggins, Francie (Ian Cameron), Rachel Eggins, Laura Bjorgan, Joseph Hitchins, and Krystina Eggins. Great grandfather to his darlings Mollie Kuchma, Jacob Kuchma, and Emma Brydges. Honourary grandfather to Catherine Kalbfleisch and Elizabeth Kalbfleisch. Survived as well by brother Dr. Michael McGuire (Rosie), sister Doris Kennedy, and a wide and devoted circle of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Katherine, Francis, James, Mae, Lucy, Emma, Sarah, Christine (Sister Leonora of St. Joseph's Order), Clara Kealey, Dr.John, and Veronica Sloan. Thomas was born September 10, 1902, the son of Hugh McGuire and Catherine Healy of Montague Township. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a lifelong member of St. Francis de Sales Church. His consideration for others, his wisdom and his unfailing good humour endure as a gift to all. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, January 9 at 11 a.m. Interment St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
