James Eric BARKLEY

was the farm manager at the Burritt's Rapids Correctional Centre for 30 years. Passed away at the Broadview Nursing Home in Smiths Falls on Monday, January 7, 2002, Eric Barkley, age 83 years. Beloved husband of Muriel Knapp for 55 years. Dear brother of the late Keitha Peebles of Ajax. Survived by his nephew Robert Peebles and his wife Wanda of Sunderland, Ontario and their children Jody and John (Shelley) and daughter Gillian. Also missed by his niece Penney Woods of Port Hope and her daughter Tamara (Scott McKenzie) and their son Andrew and by his niece Patty Fuoco (Pete) of Ponty Pool, Ontario. Eric is also sadly missed by his cousins in Ottawa, Winchester and Inkerman. Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, January 11th, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Wolford Cemetery in the spring.
