In hospital on Monday, January 7, 2002 with Jeffrey, Michael and Nicole by his side at the age of 80. Beloved husband of 55 years to Jean McLaren. Cherished Dad to Carol Ann (John Vachon) and Robert (Donna). 'Grandpa Steve' to Jeffrey (Nicole), Michael (Persila), Samantha and James. Proud great-grandpa to Alexandra Anne. Dear brother of Anna, Charles, Rita St. Louis and Stella Boivin. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Steve will be missed by his many friends in the deaf community. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, at Albion Road, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church followed by private Cremation. The family wishes to thank the many physicians and nurses who cared for him at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus.
