Peacefully, in hospital, Perth on Tuesday, January 8, 2001. Mabel Lake in her 102nd year. Wife of the late Victor Charles Lake. Loved mother of Joyce (Ken) Wilson and Mavis (Les) Swift-Francis. Cherished grandmother of Victor (Janice) Labelle, Lynne (Frank) Murtagh, Richard (Linda) Labelle, Nicola, Nigel (Lori) and Paul Swift and the late Susan Labelle. Great-Granny to Robin and Kimberley Labelle, Patrick and Michael Murtagh, Christine Morriss-Swift, Samantha Swift and Nicholas Diniz. Step-Granny to Bruce (Deena), Keith, Stuart (Joan), Terry, Ross (Elisabeth) Wilson and step-Great-Granny to Ken, Ted, Tim and Matt Wilson. Mabel was the sister of the late Doris Newark of England and will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in England, and her many good friends. Friends may pay their respects at St. Columba Anglican Church, 24 Sandridge Road, Ottawa, Friday, January 11th from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held privately in Beechwood Cemetery.
