Tuesday, January 8, 2002. At home surrounded by her loving family. Winnifred Rimmer age 83. Predeceased by her favourite crooner Frank Sinatra. Winnifred was born in Leigh Lancheshire, England. After serving her beloved country during the Second World War in the A.T.S., she arrived as a young war bride on the Queen Mary at Halifax in June 1946 to join her husband, the late Charles Stewart Moore of New Liskeard, Ontario. She is survived by her daughters Carole (Garry Grant), Barbara (Murray Scott), Margy (Frank Slater) and son David Moore (Heather). She will be sadly missed by her eight grandchildren, Jeff, Jason, Davey, Sarah, Jenny, Marie-Andree, Michael and Simon. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road (east of Bank) Friday after 11 a.m. A Service in Memory of Winnifred will be held Friday in the Chapel at 1 p.m. The Ottawa Citizen, 10-01-2002
