1924 - 2002. Passed away with her family by her side on January 20, 2002 at the age of seventy-seven. Very much loved mother and mother-in-law of Catherine and John Downie, Carrol and Nick Gabriel, Peter Zannis and Diane Thibault. She will forever remain in the hearts and memories of her grandchildren James, Christopher, Jonathan, Vincent, Anthony, Tyna and Shayne. She will be deeply mourned by her many relatives and friends and especially by her brother-in-law Harold Zannis and his wife Mary Zannis whom she was fortunate to have had and enjoyed. Rita's family extends their thanks to Magdalena Jelowicki and Magdalena Sieroslawski and the staff at Mont Royal Residence for their care and generosity. Resting at La Maison Darche, 7679 Taschereau Blvd., Brossard. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home, thence to Crematorium Darche.
