The family announces with great sorrow her death on Tuesday morning, January 22, 2002 at Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurential Site, at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of Clark Gratto, predeceased January 25, 2001. Cherished mother of four sons: Dennis of Sudbury, James (wife Carol) of Bowmanville, Bruce (wife Brenda) and Douglas (wife Gisele), both of Sudbury. Very special grandma to six grandchildren: Ryan and Jessica of Bowmanville, Adam, Andrew, Justin and Julie, all of Sudbury. Predeceased by her parents Edward B. and Julie Ann (nee Larue) Hearty. Dear sister of Herbie (wife Verna) of Otter Lake, Quebec, Ronnie (wife Shirley) of Ottawa, Garry of Vinton, Quebec, Linda Friel of Kingston, Mildred Potts of Ottawa, Violet Normandeau of Campbell's Bay, Quebec and predeceased by Raymond (wife Anne of Sudbury), Leonard (wife Laurence of Otter Lake), Loretta Lacelle, Lilly Lafleur, Melbourne and Eva Connor. Also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Marion was born September 12, 1931 in Vinton, Quebec. In 1952 she married her husband Clark and settled in Sudbury where they raised their four boys. Marion was a member of the Legion Branch 546 in Lockerby. A very devoted and dear mother and grandmother, Marion was a special women who brought much joy to those around her. She will always be remembered for her beautiful smile and loving words and will be sadly missed by her family and by many friends and neighbours. Marion's family would like to especially thank a good friend and neighbour, Dr. D. Prince for the special attention given to her during her illness. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Friday, January 25, 2001 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium, Sudbury with interment of the remains at the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Children's Wish Foundation or to the Heart and Soul Campaign (Cancer Services) would be appreciated. The Ottawa Citizen, 23-01-2002
