September 18, 1922-January 24, 2002 First President of Mens'Apparel Ottawa (MAC) Show Decorated Captain of the Second World War Peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, January 24, 2002, in his 80th year, Dad left for one final road trip. Lovingly remembered by his wife, Elizabeth, his children, Frederick and his wife Monique, Viki and her husband Anthony, and Robbie. Affectionately known as Grandaddy by his grandchildren Christine and Nicholas, and as Papy by Sascha and Bianca. Beloved brother of Pauline Amy Grose of Calgary, beloved uncle of Mary Carol Fields of Simi Valley, California, and Sue Ellen of Calgary. Also affectionately remembered by Sandra Charlene of England, as well as many nieces and nephews. A special mention to the many friends he made during his 37 years on the road in northern and eastern Ontario as a Manufacturers' Agent. Friends of Dad and of the family are welcomed to attend a gathering at the home of his son, Frederick, 1590 Dixie Street in Ottawa, on Sunday, January 27, between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. As per Dad's wishes, he will be cremated in a private ceremony, and his remains interned with those of his mother, Olive Dorothy, and father, Colonel Rupert Bland, in London, Ontario. Many, many heartfelt thanks go out from the family to the staff of Rideau Two North, The Perley and Rideau Veterans Health Centre, and to Dr. Bhoi who cared for him in such an exemplary fashion-May God Bless You All.
