OBITUARY JAMES H. COLLYER Slipped away in the early hours of Tuesday, October 4, 2005. Born in Lahore, India. He moved as a child with his family to Surrey, B.C. He won a scholarship to UBC but left to become an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy when war was declared. He served as a navigator and saw action in different theatres of war. Predeceased by his brother Donald, he will be sadly missed by his sister Peggy Kluckner of Vancouver. Married for fifty-nine years to his wife Eileen, he is also survived by his three children Christopher, Deborah, and Pamela, as well as his loving grandchildren, Jethro Bushenbaum, Skye and Alexandre Collyer, Lance and Dante Hadden. He had a rewarding career as a publisher and advertising executive. An accomplished artist, he expressed his creativity and love of the outdoors in his gardens, and through his many sculptures and paintings. He will be forever missed. A Memorial service for friends and family will take place at 2 p.m. October 22, 2005 at Holy Trinity Church, 12 Prefontaine West, Ste-Agathe-des-Monts. Donations in his memory may be made to: The Arthritis Society, Quebec Division, 380 Ste. Antoine St. West, Montreal, Qc. H2Y 3X7, or a charity of your choice.
