Johanna Van Overbeek Of RR 2, Seeley's Bay, Ontario passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2005 after a short illness. She was 86. Mrs. Van Overbeek was the daughter of the late Antonius and Gertrude Kremers and had immigrated from The Netherlands in 1953 and lived on Wolfe Island for 12 years, then moving to Seeley's Bay. She was born in Mill, Holland. She was predeceased by her husband Henricus Van Overbeek, brother Gerry Kremers of Springfield, as well as several brothers and one sister in The Netherlands. She was a homemaker, a longtime member of CWL (St. Barnaby's Church) and attended St. Barnaby's Church, Brewers Mills. Her special interests were cooking, sewing, reading, spending time with family and friends and always had a keen interest in the daily farming routine. She is survived by her daughters Karrie and her husband George Sams of Bath, Mary and her husband Ken Farnell of Kingston, Ann and her husband Gordie Williams of Battersea, Henny and her husband Robert Hunt of Ivy Lea, sons Peter and Tony, both at home and is lovingly remembered by grandchildren Vicki (Roger), Greg, Josh, Jessica, Samantha, Philip and Erin and proud great-grandmother of Zachary and Mercedes. The Funeral was held on September 27, 2005 with Father Charles Gazeley officiating. Honorary Bearers were Jack DeGraaf, George Collinson, Dick Simpson, John Broeders, Jim Droogh and Dave Donaldson with Active Pallbearers being Danny Simpson, Cory Mattice, Bob Donaldson, Greg Sams, Josh Farnell and Philip Hunt.
