Robert B. Pickett NEW CANAAN, NB - Mr. Robert "Bobby" Byron Pickett of New Canaan, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family on October 28, 2005 at the age of 62. Born in Young's Cove, on August 5, 1943, he was the son of the late Murray and Lillian (Pring) Pickett. Bob is survived by his fiancée, Debbie (Power) Geldart; two sons, Roger of Young's Cove and Matthew of Havelock; two daughters, Tracey MacDonald and Rhonda Griffiths; and by one granddaughter, Sydney Griffiths, all of Toronto; four sisters, Phyllis McGarity (Everett) of Mill Cove, Eileen Noel (Harry) of Pictou, NS, Gwen Rugne (Lou) of Cambridge Narrows and Vera Smith of Oshawa; three brothers, Fred of Sussex, Don of Fredericton and Murray (Phyllis) of Cambridge Narrows; four step-sisters, Frances Carr of Saint John, Winnie Bradshaw (Joe) of Halifax, Dorothy Hayes (Cecil) of Sebring, Florida and Betty Taylor of Halifax: his step-brother, Norman Pollock (Lorraine) of Sussex and by his sister-in-law, Jean Pickett of Coles Island; his aunt, Doris Carson; as well as several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Pamela Cudmore and nephew, Danny Gardiner (Nancy). Bob will also be fondly remembered by Debbie's two sons and their families, Darrell (Christa) and their children; Amy, Emily, and Katie, and Tim (Lisa), and their children Lauren and Ian; and Debbie's mother, Dorothy Power. Bob was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Allan; his sister, Isabel Secord; three step-sisters, Charlotte (Crossman) Pickett, Marie Hodgin and Ruth Campbell; his step-brother, Ron; and by his step-mother, Alice (Allaby) (Pollock) Pickett. Bob loved to laugh and his laughter will continue to warm the hearts of his family and friends. He was a truck driver, an avid hunter, an outdoorsman and a storyteller. He loved the time spent with family and friends especially at reunions, the camp, with the trailer and at the homestead. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433- 1176). The Funeral Service will be from Havelock Wesleyan Church on Tuesday, November 1st, 2005 at 2:00 pm. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Whitepine Lodge, 3707 Rt. 880, Havelock.
