MASON, Elaine Marie (nee Murphy) Passed away peacefully in her home in Kingston on Monday, November 14, 2005 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her best friend and beloved husband of 39 years, Paul, and her adored and adoring children, Stephen and Christine and Rob Jewell. Devoted and treasured grandmother of Matthew and Sarah. Elaine will be forever missed by her dear sisters, Marilyn Sudds and Barbara Donaldson, and their respective husbands, Wayne and John, and in England by her brothers and sisters through marriage, Mary, John and Hillary and Sue. She is predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Gladys Murphy. Elaine's remarkable spirit and her compassion and gentle heart will be fondly remembered by her dear nieces and nephews, her extended family, and by her many friends and colleagues whose lives she touched through the years. Elaine was born December 21, 1938 in Gananoque and graduated from the Kingston General Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. The family will receive friends at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (John Counter Blvd. at Highway 2) from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday, November 18. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 1:00 pm. in the chapel of the funeral home, following which she will be cremated and laid to rest with her parents at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens, Glenburnie. The family would like to thank the staff of the Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario and St. Elizabeth Heath Care for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Breast Cancer Action Kingston would be greatly appreciated.
