
OBITUARY WILLIAM GORDON BINKS A World War II veteran and retired high school teacher, died Saturday, November 5, 2005, at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park, PA. The former Bernardsville, NJ resident was eighty-four and had been living it western Pennsylvania. Mr. Binks was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was a decorated veteran of the Royal Canadian Army. During World War II, he landed in Normandy on D Day as a gunner with the Royal Canadian Artillery. Mr. Binks is survived by his wife, Ruth Burke Binks, of Verona, PA; his sister, Janet Griffith of Homestead, FL; a brother, George Binks of Pointe Claire, Quebec; daughters, Bonnie Edwards (Robert) of Louisville, CO, and Laura Trubnick of Verona, PA; and grandsons Keith Malcolm Edwards of Cambridge, MA, and James Garreth Edwards of Boulder, CO.
