MERRILL, DORIS ELIZABETH The death of Doris Elizabeth Merrill, wife of the late Frank Merrill, of Tay Creek, NB, occurred on November 25, 2005, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 24, 1927 in Tay Creek, NB, she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Josephine (Pringle) Tomilson. Doris was a Registered Nurse in Stanley, NB. She was a member of the Stirling United Church, Tay Creek, NB. After retirement, she was involved with the Golden Age Club, locally and regionally, as well as the 4H Club. Doris is survived by her son Stephen (Charlene) of Tay Creek, NB; three daughters, Ann Cleveland (Ed Haines) of Kingsley, NB, Susan Stavosrand(Gunnar)of Norway, Joan Merrill (Don Robertson) of Saskatoon; grandchildren Jason, Matthew, Adrienne, Leif, Emmy, Carl, Stephanie, Kale, Frank, Jeffrey, Clair, and Ian; great-grandchildren, Veronica, Katrina, Gabrielle, Fergus, Nadia, Nathan, and Savana; one brother, Kenneth (Marina) of Toronto, ON; brother-in-law, Robbie Robichaud of Toronto, ON; five sisters, Ruth Wilson of North Tay, Dallas Morely of Merritt, BC, Margaret Caughey of Napean, ON, Marion (Alton) Adams of Toronto, ON, Lois (Jim) Atherton of Sudbury, ON; sisters-in-law, Cherry Tomilson of Tay Creek, NB, and Ferne Tomilson of Toronto, ON, and sister-in-law Hilda Dorcas of Fredericton, NB, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant son, Angus; three brothers, Arthur, Robert and Gordon; two sisters, Laura Robichaud and Elsie Merritt. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Dr. Fredericton NB on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at Stirling United Church at 2 pm with Rev. Murray MacFarlane officiating. Interment will follow at Stirling United Church Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Lung Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
