C. Ray Shooter Funeral arrangements by Regina Funeral Home SHOOTER – C. Ray was born on December 12, 1914 and passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 27, 2005 in Regina, SK. He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary and brother Jack. Ray is survived by Audrey, his loving wife of 68 years; daughter Raylene (Dennis) Lafreniere of Swift Current; granddaughter Shawna Lefreniere of Azusa, CA; grandson Jason Ray (Andrea) Lafreniere and great grandsons Adam and Justin all of Meadow Lake, SK. Ray enjoyed an extensive career in insurance namely with Seaboard Life Insurance for forty years. He was active in many community organizations including St. Peter’s Anglican Church; the Masons; the Saskatchewan Lung, Optometrist, and Hospital Associations; a member of many boards including the Saskatchewan Labor Relations Board Queens Bench, Regina’s housing authority, General Hospital, Golf Club and Assessment boards; and the Old Timers Association. Ray was a recipient of the Saskatchewan Government’s Confederation Medal and most recently was presented the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal for contributions to his community. At Ray’s request there will be no formal services. A PRIVATE GRAVESIDE will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917A Albert Street Regina, SK S4R 2P6 or the Lung Association of Saskatchewan, 1231 - 8 Street E, Saskatoon, SK S7H 0S5.
