JOYCE, JEREMIAH (JERRY) HOLLAND Jeremiah (Jerry) H. Joyce of Fredericton and formerly of Prince William passed away January 3, 2005 at the Veterans Health Unit, Fredericton. Born at Melrose, NB in 1921, Jerry was a son of the late John and Clara (Noonan) Joyce. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in France, Belgium, Germany and Holland. He also served briefly with the British Army. He was a retired trucker, having worked for several years with York Structural Steel. Jerry is survived by a daughter, Mary Joyce, Halifax, NS; a son, Ronald Joyce (Jacinthe), Hanwell; a step-son, John Coffey (Lois), Saint John; three granddaughters, Regan Tilden, Rachelle Tilden, both of Halifax, NS and Danielle Joyce, Hanwell; four stepgrandchildren, Wayne Coffey (Cindy), Saint John, Sara Johnson (Tim), Windsor, NS, Naomi Coffey, Saint John and Ruth Carroll (Sean), Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Janie I. (Scott) Joyce in 1999, two sisters and nine brothers. Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Nackawic on Friday, January 7, 2005 at 11 a.m. by Fr. Dan Melanson. Interment will be later at Barony Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion Tribute Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Jerry, the family has suggested the Barony Cemetery or a charity of the donor's choice.
