DHANVANTARI, Dr. Bobberjung ("Dan") Passed away peacefully on January 4th 2005, at Windsor Metropolitan. Son of the late Dr. B. Nagesha Rao, Professor at Mysore University in India and Seetha Bai. Beloved husband of Sheela, and loving father to daughters Savita and Sujaya, son Samir, and son-in-law Keith St. Lawrence. He immigrated to Canada in 1960, obtained his PhD at the University of Toronto, was a research scientist at the Harrow Research Station for 32 years, and retired in 1996. He will be sadly missed by his immediate and extended family in India, many nieces and nephews around the world, and his many friends in Canada. He was respected and loved for his peaceful personality and knowledge and passion for science and politics. He was a proud Canadian who worked and lived for the good of the country. We have been truly blessed to have had him in our lives. Dan and Sheela had just returned from a 5-month trip to India and Japan. A private service was held at the Anderson Funeral Home, followed by the cremation according to Hindu Rites. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memoriam be made by phone to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre (253-5253), or online to the Canadian Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.ca) or the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund (www.redcross.ca). Published in the Windsor Star on 1/8/2005.
