William Whitfield Bishop PETITCODIAC, NB - William Whitfield Bishop of Russell Street, Petitcodiac, NB, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 58. Born November 14, 1946 in Petitcodiac, NB, he was the son of Bertrum and Ruby (Steeves) Bishop of Petitcodiac. Bill was a retired CNR Carman and was presently employed with the Village of Petitcodiac. He was a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, where he also served as a trustee. He was the Past President of the C.A.W. Local 967 and Local (Main Shop), as well he served on the Board of Directors for the Royal Credit Union. Besides his parents; he is survived by his wife, Mona Bishop (Morton) (Lewis), three daughters, Anita of Moncton, Cynthia of CFB Gagetown and Barbie Jo of River Glade; a son, Graeme (Barbara) of River Glade; a sister, Phyllis MacPherson (James) of Petitcodiac; four step-children, Pat (Mary Ann), Wanda Melvin (Keith), Phillip (Sharon) and Michael (Pam), all of Petitcodiac; four grandchildren, Ricci, Mackenzie, Delaney and Derrick; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, NB, with visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. The interment will take place in Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Red Cross Foundation (Asia Appeal) or the Canadian Cancer Society.
