John "Jack" Clark Frost January 09, 1942 - January 08, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Atlantic Funeral Home (Lower Sackville) FROST, John Clark "Jack" - 62, Lower Sackville, died suddenly on January 8, 2005. Born in Lochaber Mines, January 9, 1942, he was a son of the late Austin and Carrie (MacDonald) Frost. John was a hardworking man who worked many jobs throughout his career. He spent many years at Seaboard Diesel as well as at the Nova Scotia Nautical Institute, Halifax. He was most proud of the businesses he owned and operated; Eastern Diesel Supplies Ltd., and two high pressure washes. One he owned with his son, and the other with his son-in-law, Kevin. Later in life he enjoyed his time at the Petro Pass with his long-time friend, Gordie. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Irene "Rene" (Fawson); children, Carrie Anne Schmidt (Stew), Millet, Alberta; Jon (Lisa), Upper Tantallon; Seana Pinkney (Kevin), Lower Sackville; brother, Joseph, Fredericton, N.B.; sisters, Emma Parks, Sheet Harbour; Shirley MacKay, Sherbrooke; Vicky Crowell, St. Croix; Sylvia Monk, Ship Harbour; Darlene, Dartmouth; Evelyn, Lower Sackville; Sigrid, Ship Harbour; grandchildren, Melissa, Kirk, Samantha, and Noah; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Hutka. He was a fun-loving man with a full belly laugh. You always knew where you stood with John, and there was nothing he wouldn't do for his loved ones. His wife and family were his pride and joy, especially his grandchildren. John "Jack" touched many hearts, he will be deeply missed and never forgotten. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 11, from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. Funeral mass will be held Wednesday, January 12, 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, corner of Russell and Gottingen Streets, Halifax, Father Paul Morris officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Donations may be made to St. James United Church, Lochaber Mines.
