Nan Driscoll Nan Driscoll of Moncton, New Brunswick passed away Monday, January 10, 2005 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 95. Nan Driscoll, born Anna M. Belliveau, known as Aunt Nan, by her many nieces and nephews, was a resident of Portledge Avenue in Moncton for more than thirty years. She was born on November 26, 1909 to parents Phileas (P.A.) and Anna (Leger) Belliveau. Nan married her childhood sweetheart, James (Jim) B. McAllister on October 23, 1945. After years of ill health, Jim died on December 18, 1962. He was a family legend, known for his wit and sense of humour. In September 1967, Nan married Frederick Patrick Driscoll. Pat was a quiet, soft-spoken, sensitive man, but a very successful business person who adored and respected his Nan. Pat passed away on February 18, 1993. Employed at the #5 Supply Depot in Moncton during World War II, Nan worked for the Firestone Tire Company after the war and later for the New Brunswick Electric Power Commission. Nan was a member of St. Bernard's CWL, she was also an avid bridge player. She is survived by her younger brother, Frank; stepsons, Bill Driscoll of Vancouver and Donald Driscoll of Calgary; 19 nieces and nephews, more than 40 grand nephews and nieces and a dozen or more great grand nephews and nieces. Nan was predeceased by her elder sister, Catherine (Allison) Dysart and brothers, Leonard, Gerard and Edward (Ned) Belliveau. Visiting hours will be held from Cadman's Funeral Home, 114 Alma Street, Moncton. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Parish Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8:30. The funeral mass will be held from St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford Street, Moncton on Thursday, January 13, 2005 at 10:00 AM, with Father Peter McKee officiating. The interment will take place at the Old Shediac Road Cemetery at a later date.
