Brenda Melita Lillian Carsley (née Williams) August 11, 1930 - January 16, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Burlington Chapel) CARSLEY, Brenda (nee Williams) – Suddenly on Sunday January 16, 2005 we said good-bye to a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and a special lady. Beloved wife and best friend of 51 years to Ian Carsley. Cherished by her sons John (Gloria), Ian Jr., Mark, Glenn, Perry (Mary Ellen), Adam (Sybil), Phillip (Charlene), Michael (Elaine), Sean (Chantelle), Jason (Josette). She was a delighted grandmother to Justin, Julia, Christopher, Jennifer, Benjamin, Lori-Lee, Ryan, Andrew and Conner. Treasured great-grandmother to Scott. Dear sister to Joan Richens and her husband David and to Bill Williams. Her sons will always remember her strength, unyielding support and limitless patience. Her daughter-in-laws will remember her knitting, needlepoint and cross stitching with every perfect detail and above all her adoration of her sons. In addition to her unrelenting focus on her family, Brenda had been a long-standing supporter of the Catholic Women’s League and a volunteer at the OTMH. She was voted the “Mother of the Year” in 1973 by the town of Oakville. Brenda could be counted on for a smile when you entered the room, and a tear on her cheek when you left. She often spoke lovingly of her children and her husband, while happily taking us down memory lane to places and activities that she enjoyed while growing up. Friends may call at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL 2241 New St. (At Drury Lane) Burlington, (905-637-5233). A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday January 19, 2005 at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the Paramedics, the Emergency Staff, Colleen from the Victims Services Unit, Kelly from the Support Group and to Tina and the staff at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for all your kindness and compassion. You are invited to sign the book of visitation at “Thinking, Remembering and never Forgetting……”
