Julia (Dgetluck) Levasseur Julia Levasseur 1913 - 2004 SPRINGFIELD - Julia (Dgetluck) Levasseur, 91, of Springfield, entered into eternal rest on May 11, 2004. Born in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Dorokupetz) Dgetluck. Julia was raised in Springfield and graduated from the High School of Commerce. After having lived in Connecticut and Alaska for several years, with her late husband Joseph Lavasseur she moved back to Springfield. Over the years, Julia was employed by many major hotels in the area retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church. She is survived by a loving daughter, Nadine Levasseur of Canada; a son-in-law, Krikor Demirdjian; and his daughter, Catherine; a brother, John Dgetluck and 2 sisters, Norma Fecowicz and Nada Kruse of Agawam; her grandchildren, Deborah Bertera of Springfield and Anthony Bertera and his wife, Anna Zina of Huntington. She also leaves several nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews. Julia was a volunteer for many associations; ran a weekly Bingo game, and led a bi-weekly exercise group in her apartment complex until she was 90 years old. She had been a member of the Rainbow Girls & the Linden Towers Golden Age Club. The funeral will be held Saturday morning May 15, 2004 from the Springfield Funeral Home, 130 Carew St. followed by services in St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church at 10 a.m. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. Donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA; Baystate Visiting Nursing & Hospice, P.O.
