BRADLEY, James Arthur "Brad" - Peacefully, at the Haldimand War Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2004, in his 94th year. Brad Bradley, beloved husband of Marguerite (Blakeslee). Loving father of Bud and his wife Susan. Loved grandfather of Michael (Debbie), Sandra (Brian), Tracy (Rob), Nicole and Drew. Proud great-grandfather of Christopher, Stephanie, Jennifer, Tom, Ken, Tim, Ellyse, Alexis and Meghan. Especially proud great-great-grandfather of Austin VanderHeide. Predeceased by his brother Gordon and sister Margaret (Wing). Brad was born in Niagara Falls, Ontario and following his graduation from Niagara Falls Collegiate he proudly embarked on a career with the R.C.A.F. serving in WW II, Korea and retiring in 1962 as a Senior Warrant Officer. As well as being on the first truckload of airmen to arrive at No. 6 SFTS, Dunnville, Ontario, Brad served at Trenton, Ont.; Lachine, PQ; Claresholm, Alt; North Bay, Ont.; Tacoma, Wash.; Shemya, Alaska; Japan and England. After a long R.C.A.F. career his love for the aircraft he served with, the Yale, Harvard, Lancaster, Halifax, C119, Northstar, Arrow, CF100 and even the Chipmunk, was constantly obvious. His affection for his Air Force and his Air Force colleagues entertained all for as long as they would listen. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held at Ompah, Ontario at a later date. Memorial donations to the Ompah Volunteer Fire Department or No. 6 SFTS Museum may be directed through J.W. Hart Funeral Home, 113 Lock St., East, Dunnville, N1A 1J6 (905) 774-6335 and would be appreciated by the family. He shall always remain, "Three Threads Finer Than Frogs Hair."
