ADLAM, Frank Ernest Sr. Passed away peacefully in Pembroke on Tuesday, July 27th, 2004 at the age of 78 years. He had fought a debilitating condition for over a year, and in his final days was able to fulfill his promise of attending his daughter's wedding at our beloved cottage. We were blessed by his gift, as well as him being able to witness a remarkable sunset along with family and friends. Shortly after, he returned to his "other home" at Marianhill, where he peacefully went to sleep. Frank Adlam Sr. beloved husband of Reta Adlam (nee Remus) and loving father of daughters Lorelei Adlam-Wharton (husband Rick) and Allison Deakin (husband Ian); son Frank Adlam (wife Patricia) and daughter-in-law Angi Adlam. Predeceased by son Timothy Adlam. Cherished grandpa to Sarah and Brendan; Ellie, Lani and Jake; Jenna, Emily and Joel; and Hannah. Son of the late Frank E. and Sarah Adlam (nee Hudson). Brother of Virginia Kells. Predeceased by brother Jack Adlam. Also missed by his sisters-in-law Isabelle Adlam and Pat Remus, brother-in-law Gary Remus and his wife Barbara, his many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavit & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Monday, August 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Funeral Service will be held in Zion Lutheran Church, Pembroke on Tuesday, August 3rd at 11 a.m. followed by interment of his cremated remains in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Tim Adlam Fund of Hockey Ministries International, Zion Lutheran Church Brick Fund, Marianhill Palliative Care Unit or the Foundation Fighting Blindness-Ride for Sight would be appreciated). Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #72 are requested to assemble for service at the funeral home on Monday at 7:30 p.m. Special thanks to Nancy and Melanie, and all the wonderful staff who loved and cared for "Frankie Blue-Eyes".
