BOGDAN, Alojz. 1926-2004. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, after nine years of courageously battling a crippling disease, on July 21, 2004, in his seventy-eighth year. Alojz, dearly beloved husband for fifty-two precious years of Kristina Cigan. Dearest loving father of Suzan (Pierre Huet) and Mary (Sol Lang), and their children Andrew and Jonathan. He will be sadly missed by his cousin, Joe Magyar and his wife, Anna, and their two children, Mary-Ann and her husband, Patrick, and Joe Jr. and his wife, Majda. Alojz, a tailor and amateur inventor, was an honourable man, gifted with many spiritual qualities. His family and friends will remember his love of life, his words of wisdom, his humble acceptance of life's hardships, and his philosophy of unconditional love. This kind-hearted, quiet man, with his gentle ways, deeply touched our lives. Our father is profoundly grateful to his dear wife, Kristina, who nursed him these many years. As a loving couple, they always whispered to each other: "I love too." Our family would like to thank the staff of CLSC Villeray for their professional care, particularly Brigitte Labbe, Moliere Guerrier, Marco Roiati and Guy Cardinal, for their dedication and compassion. Family and friends are invited to send flowers or donations for Stroke and Diabetes Research. Prayer service to be held on Thursday, July 22, at 7 p.m. Resting at the J.A. Guilbault Inc., 5359 St. Michel Blvd. (corner Masson), Montreal. Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2004 at 1 p.m. in St-Vladimir Church, 3470 St-Joseph Boul. East, Montreal, and thence to Notre-Dame des Neiges Cemetery. Visitation Thursday, July 22, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. and Friday, July 23, as of noon. The Montreal Gazette
