CROSBY, Patrick Korean War Veteran United Nations Emergency Force Egypt Founding President, Economists', Sociologists' and Statisticians' Association (ESSA) 1974 Statistics Canada (Retired) On July 16, 2004 after a long and courageous battle that was waged without complaint. Survived by his wife and best friend of over fifty years, Ann Marie (Miller), their children Peter (Linda), Edward (Barbara), Catherine and Brian (Claire) of Ottawa; Jean (Brian Conlin) of Greenville, North Carolina, Daniel (Susan) and Christine of Toronto. Beloved Grampa to Andrew, Sarah, Emily, Amanda, Meaghan, Breanna, Lauren, Mary, Samantha, Patrick, Michael, Thomas, Brian, Brittany, Matthew and Melissa. Also survived by sisters Bernadette and Grace and sister-in-law Janet, Halifax and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Patrick Anthony, parents Adam Thomas and Veronica Frances (Cragg), siblings Adam Brown, Howard, Beatrice Renner and Madeline Murphy all of Halifax. The family would like to extend thanks to the Staffs of the Respirology Unit, the Urology Department and the Acute Monitoring Area of the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus, and to Dr. Peter McLeod for his dedicated professional care and support over the past five years. Also thanks to Ivan at Access Therapy. The family will receive visitors at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Sunday, July 18, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, July 20, at 10 a.m. at Saint Augustine's Church (Baseline Road at Merivale Road).
