JOHNSON, Arthur Veteran of WW II RAF It is with deep sorrow that the family of Arthur "Art" Johnson announces his death on Monday, July 19, 2004, in his 84th year after a brief courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side. He was the loving husband for 58 years of Doreen Johnson. As a loving father he will be greatly missed and always remembered by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil (Marly) and Paul (Julie). Cherished grandfather to three grandsons, Jeff (Gina), Bradley and Scott. Predeceased by his two well loved brothers, Fred (Marjorie), Bernard (Audrey) in England. The family wishes to acknowledge the Saint Elizabeth Health Care providers, Red Cross staff, Access Centre Home Support staff for the excellent and compassionate care they all provided. We would also like to extend our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to Dr. Jamie Fullerton whose kindness and advice have been invaluable. Also, the family, especially Marly, wishes to acknowledge the gentle, kind care given to dad by the nurses at the Carleton Place Hospital. Friends may call at the ALAN R. BARKER FUNERAL HOME 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 1 p.m. until funeral service to be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend David Mullin officiating. Interment St. James Anglican Cemetery, Carleton Place. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. The Ottawa Citizen
