O’KEEFE SÉGUIN, Diane Le mardi 13 décembre, une âme forte, éclairée et compatissante, s'est éteinte. Diane Séguin O'Keefe est décédée à son domicile à Rigaud, entourée de sa famille, après une brève mais courageuse bataille contre le cancer. Elle laisse dans un profond chagrin son mari Robert, ses filles Catherine et Mélissa, son gendre Hamid Larsa ainsi que sa soeur Hélène Cameron et sa famille. Exposée à la Résidence funéraire: Aubry et Fils inc. 52, St-Jean-Baptiste Rigaud Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 17 décembre, à 14 h, en l'église Ste-Madeleine de Rigaud. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was retired from Verizon in Fort Wayne. He currently was an operations manager for Sears at Citrus Park Towncenter. DESGAGNÉ (Soeur Philippine) Le 12 décembre 2005, est décédée à la Maison provinciale des Soeurs du Bon-Pasteur, à l’âge de 98 ans, Soeur Philippine Desgagné (Soeur Marie-de-l’Incarnation), après 77 ans de vie religieuse dans la Congrégation des Soeurs du Bon-Pasteur. La communauté accueillera les parents et amis à compter de 19 h le mercredi 14 décembre 2005 à La Maison provinciale du Bon-Pasteur 424, rue Bégin Chicoutimi Les heures d'accueil sont: mercredi de 19 h à 21 h 30. Jeudi, jour des funérailles, le salon sera ouvert à compter de 12 h (midi). Soeur Philippine a oeuvré plus de trente ans dans le domaine de l’éducation comme enseignante ou directrice dans des écoles de Jonquière, Chicoutimi, Sainte-Monique et Chapais, tout en assumant parfois la fonction de supérieure. Par la suite, elle poursuit son apostolat dans les services communautaires, spécialement comme économe, plus tard par la prière prolongée et l’accueil serein de toute éventualité. Tant chez les jeunes que dans sa famille et la communauté, soeur Philippine laisse un souvenir d’une personne douce et affable, dévouée et très présente à chacun et chacune. Outre sa famille religieuse, elle laisse dans le deuil son frère: Gérard, jésuite; sa soeur: Françoise (feu René Gagné); sa belle-soeur: Marthe Lessard (feu Roland Desgagné). She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Paul and Betty Barthelette. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School. Paulette was a former manager of the Sixteen Plus and also worked as a nurse's aide at the Holyoke Nursing Home. Paulette was known at the South Hadley Panther/Cats games as the Cheer Granny. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Frank Vilandry; and her four loving children, Dawn M. Black, Donald N. Pelletier, Jr., Michelle R. Pelletier, and Michael F. Pelletier; her sister, Nancy Bischoff and her husband Ralph, formerly of Granby and now of Homosassa, FL; her fourteen grandchildren and one and only niece. Calling hours for Paulette will be held Saturday afternoon from 2-4:30 p.m., followed with a service at 4:30 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Joseph L. Beaulieu -- September 20, 1920 - December 13, 2005 -- Joseph L. Beaulieu, 85, of St. Joseph St., Woonsocket, died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was the husband of 59 years of Gertrude L. (Malo) Beaulieu. Born on September 20, 1920, in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Willie and Lena (Paquette) Beaulieu. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life. He resided in Lincoln for several years.Mr. Beaulieu served in the United Sates Navy during WWII. He was a Petty officer 1st Class and served in both the European and Pacific Theater on the LST ships.He worked as an electrician for Electric Maintenance Co. in Woonsocket for 52 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1029 and later Local 99.He was a longtime communicant of St. Charles Church in Woonsocket. He enjoyed woodworking and making a variety of crafts. Mr. Beaulieu volunteered many hours helping patients at the Parkview Manor Nursing Home and later at the Mount St. Francis Health Center where he resided with his wife.Mr. Beaulieu will be remembered for his cheerful spirit, and willingness to give of himself to others, even when he was challenged by blindness. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Suzanne Bibeault, of Woonsocket, Diane Reynolds, of Cumberland, Paulette Paux, of Ft. Meyers, Florida, and Jacqueline Brillon, of Manville. 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of Lucien W. Beaulieu, of Woonsocket, and Lucille Felice, of Woonsocket. He was the brother of the late Armand B. Beaulieu, who was killed in action in 1944, during WWII, in Europe.His Memorial Mass will be Friday, Decembr 16, 2005 at 10:00 am in St. Charles Church, North Main St., Woonsocket. Diane Seguin-O'Keefe passed away peacefully at her home in Rigaud surrounded by her family after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Adams on Jan. 9, 1912, son of the late Joseph D. and Georgianna Genereux LeBeau, he attended Adams schools. Mr. LeBeau worked as an electrician and millwright at the former Dewey and Almy Co. and its successor, W.R. Grace Co., for many years, until retiring in 1977. Earlier, he had worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co., and during World War II spent several years working as a welder at the Hingham Shipyard. He was a communicant of the Parish of Notre Dame and St. Thomas. His wife, the former Irene Jeannette Guerin, whom he married on June 4, 1938, died on May 15. He leaves a daughter, Rene L. Macomber of Plymouth, and two brothers, Bernard LeBeau and Daniel LeBeau, both of Washington, D.C. Roch Naquin and Victor Naquin and wife, Ms. Da, all of the Island; six grandchildren, Violet "Preston" Parfait, Bethany Handon, Dalton Handon, Howard R. Brunet Jr., Howard J. Brunet and Juliet Brunet, all of the Island; and two great-grandchildren, Heather Mackenzie Parfait and Reggie Parfait.She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Howard "Howell" Brunet; her parents, Adorina "Nene" Chaisson Naquin and Joseph "Bud" Naquin; one son, Howard J. Brunet Jr.; one brother, Christopher Naquin; and two sisters, Emma Dardar and Anna Dardar.She was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, friend and caretaker and was loved by everyone who knew her.She loved to dance, loved music and cooking for the holidays.She was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Pointe-aux-Chenes and a member of the Cursillo Movement.Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LEWISTON - Bertrand V. Nolin, 87, of Heath Lane, Auburn, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 13, at Marshwood Nursing Facility, after a long illness.He was born Feb. 2, 1918. On Feb. 22, 1941, he married the former Germaine Giasson. Bert worked for United Shoe and later for North Eastern Refrigeration, from which he retired.He was a member of the Elks. His many talents allowed him to do a variety of different hobbies from tinkering in his garage to making lamps out of old bottles and doing carpentry. Bert enjoyed family outings at Edwards Beach, and looked forward to the holidays when his whole family came together.He leaves a daughter, Marlene Charpentier and her husband, Gerald, of Lakeland Fla.; four sons, Douglas Nolin of Minot, Michael Nolin and his wife, Candice, of Texas, Daniel Nolin and his wife, Christine, of Auburn, and James Nolin and his wife, Stephanie, of Greene; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife, Germaine, in January 2005; and a son, Thomas Nolin, in October 1965.

Clifford E. Doiron, 67, of Bushnell, Fla., died Dec. 3, 2005 at Hernado Pasco Hospice House in Brooksville, Fla.He was born in Waltham, Mass., on Nov. 12, 1938. He lived in Watertown, Mass., after high school, then joined the Air Force and served for 22 years. He was then employed at the U.S. Postal Service in Manchester. Mr. Doiron was a resident of Derry for 17 years.Mr. Doiron loved to travel and drive his motor home. He also loved to play golf.He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Clifford and his wife, Michelle, of Center Barnstead, and Scott and wife, Tammy, of Hillsboro; one daughter, Cheryl Doiron, of Londonderry; one sister, Elaine, and her husband, David Wilson, of North Port, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Kristen, Emerson and Clifford.

BERLIN, NH - -Mrs. Pauline Rollins, 78, of 21 Adams Street, Berlin, NH, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH. She was born in Berlin, NH, on August 30, 1927, the daughter of Frank and Olivine (Cote) Roy and was a lifelong resident of the area. She had been a member of Guardian Angel Church, now known as Good Shepherd Parish, and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne.Members of the family include two daughters, Norma Fournier and her husband Fred of Berlin, NH, and Carol Tremaine and her husband Paul of Berlin, NH; four grandchildren, Kevin Fournier of Berlin, NH, Kathy Danoski of Berlin, NH, Keith Fournier of Virginia Beach, VA, and Stephen Tremaine of Berlin, NH; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Norman Rollins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 16, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. DANBURY, CT - Beatrice E. (Tellier) Schmidle, 100, died Monday December 12 at Hancock Hall Nursing Home in Danbury, CT. Mrs. Schmidle was born on September 5, 1905 to the late Ferdinand and Adelia (Chevrette) Tellier. Beatrice was a former Holyoke resident living at 99 Pinehurst Rd. for sixty years. Mrs. Schmidle was a volunteer at the Holyoke Hospital coffee shop for many years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Walter A. Schmidle December 26, 1969. She will be sadly missed by one son; Robert E. Schmidle Sr. and his wife Mae of Newtown, CT., one daughter; Barbara S. Voight and her husband William of Charlotte N.C., five grandchildren; General Robert E. Schmidle Jr., Retired Commander Paul W. Schmidle, William Voight, Lisa S. Keller, Walter Voight and ten great - grandchildren. Beatrice was predeceased by a daughter Dorothy M. Schmidle on October 31, 1934. There will be a Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday December 17 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke, burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Springfield.
