DUPUIS, David James April 30, 1986 - March 26, 2009 It is with great sadness and sorrow that Dave's life was extinguished on March 26, 2009. Dave was born in Calgary, a son for Teresa and Norm, and a brother for Sarah. He grew up in Calgary, his love of playing hockey and travelling gave him very memorable experiences as well as many great friendships. RAGAN, Garry William Garry William Ragan passed away in Calgary on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the age of 64. He is the much loved husband of Helga Ragan and the cherished father of Shauna and Steve Watson, Sharla and Mike McRae, Lisa and Tom Searle and Rob and Barb Harris. He treasured his eleven grandchildren, Kayleigh, Ashlyn and Calum McRae, Alison, Andrew and Hanna Searle, Justin and Jordanne Harris, Megan, Chandra and Jenaye Watson. He was immensely proud of them. His love and caring for his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, knew no bounds. Garry's honesty and integrity earned the respect of his colleagues and clients in the commercial real estate community. He will be remembered for his ever present wit, his keen mind full of countless stories and his willingness to help anyone who needed his help. SIMROSE, Oscar Hjalmar November 9, 1919 - March 29, 2009 Oscar Simrose, beloved husband of Gwen of Calgary, passed away on March 29, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Besides his loving wife Gwen, Oscar is remembered by his four daughters and their husbands, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters and one brother. Oscar was predeceased by five brothers and one sister. JARVIS, Elsie Ethel - Souris The death occurred peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Monday, March 30, 2009, of Elsie Jarvis (nee MacNeill) in her 90 year. Beloved wife of the late Wilbur Jarvis of Kingsboro. Loving mother of Lynne (Doug) Morrow and grandmother of Vicki and and Marla Morrow. Survived by sister-in-law Beryl MacNeill and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Chester and Bessie MacNeill and brother Lorne. Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held at the Kingsboro Baptist Church for funeral services on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment in the church cemetery. KUSTER, Darrell Allen 2009-03-31 Darrell Allen Kuster, age 33 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on March 28th, 2009. Born on April 7th, 1975 in Thunder Bay, he was raised and educated locally and was employed by Vanderwees- Thunder Bay Feeds. Darrell found enjoyment in spending a lot of time with his friends. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and was always after that "trophy buck". He is survived by his mother Debbie (Jim McDonald), father Raymond Kuster, brother Armas (Kayla) and their daughter Madisson, aunts Carol Iwanonkiw (Ray) and their children Julie and Brad, Cindy Lesnick (Larry) and their children Adam and Brian, Pat Duce and her children Denise, Kristin, Caitlyn and Carly, Annette Franklin (Ed) and their children Charmaine and Taylor, uncles Earl Walker (Laurie) and children David and Jenny, Bob Walker (Sharon) and their son Daniel, Lloyd Walker, Darren Kuster and Sam Duce, and Goddaughter Bailey Shpulak. Darrell is also survived by grandparents Dave and Nancy Walker and grandmother Anja Kuster as well as many close friends, too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his grandfather Elmer Kuster. ROBBINS, Donald Alexander 2009-03-31 Mr. Donald Alexander Robbins age 73 years, resident of Murillo, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Don was born in Murillo on March 14, 1936. Don loved truck driving and working on his farm. Early in his life he loved dancing and he continued all through his retirement years. Don met the love of his life Carol and they were married on September 9, 1961. Don and Carol had two children, Jennifer and Kevin. Don is survived by his son Kevin (Bonnie), grandchildren Amanda Tilson, Raquel, Griffin and Mikael Robbins, and dear sister Myrtle Meservia (Treff). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his wife Carol in 2003 and his daughter Jennifer in 1994. A visitation will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel. A memorial reception will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the Murillo Community Centre. A private family interment will take place at a later date. If friends desire, memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Stanislas, Aldoria, Wilfrid, Noël (Edna of Dowling), Malvina Carrière, Irène Pilon, Célina Pilon, Agnès Poulin, Fernande Rossi, Lucienne Simard, Béatrice Coles and Aurel Dequanne (Jeannine of Chelmsford). FAULKNER, Raymond Thomas Bruce, Ph. D. - 1936-2009. Ray was born in Ansonville, On (now part of Iroquois Falls), the only son of Harry and Coy (Farrell) Faulkner, both deceased. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara, and his step- daughter Kate St. Aubin of Toronto. He also leaves his brother-in-law Sam Carpenter and wife Anne of Mississauga, ON, and a number of cousins. Ray and Barbara were fond of the outdoors, and spent many good times camping and fishing. Ray spent thirty- two years as a teacher and principal for the Sudbury Board of Education, in a number of elementary schools, and was proud of having been able to earn his Doctorate by extension while working as a principal. At Ray's request, there will be no funeral service and he wished to have his body cremated. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice would be appreciated. BEACOCK, William (Bill) - Passed away peacefully in his 86th year, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, March 28th 2009. Survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Jean (nee Bethune). Dear father to Thomas (Susan), Betty (Alan Hall); much loved grandpa of Brian & Allen Beacock and Scott Dion, all of Paris. Bill will be sadly missed by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, James and Jean, his sister Margaret (Graydon) and brother Ian (Isabel). Bill was retired from Timberjack in Woodstock where he worked for 15 years as a maintenance manager. He was proud of his service in the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII, where he served on convoy duty aboard HMCS Kentville. Bill was a past chair of the Paris Recreation Committee and a founder of minor lacrosse in Paris during the 1960's. Friends and family will be received at WM. KIPP FUNERAL HOME 184 Grand River St. N. GAGNON, père Gérard - o.m.i. est décédé à l'Hôpital de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, le samedi 28 mars 2009, à l'âge de 90 ans. Fils de feu Albert Gagnon et de feu Claire Bouchard, il est né le 4 novembre 1918 à Ottawa. Il fit ses études à l'école Garneau de 1924 à 1930, ses études classiques à l'école secondaire de l'Université d'Ottawa et au Juniorat du Sacré-Coeur d'Ottawa de 1931 à 1938. Il entra au Noviciat des Oblats de Marie-Immaculée à Ville La Salle, Qc, le 17 juillet 1938. De 1939 à 1945, il fit trois ans d'étude de philosophie et de théologie au scolasticat de Richelieu et trois d'étude théologique au scolasticat St-Joseph d'Ottawa. Il fut ordonné prêtre le 3 juin 1944, en la cathédrale d'Ottawa, par Mgr Leblanc, évêque de Hearst. Il fut nommé, en 1946, professeur de philosophie au Séminaire universitaire, puis, en 1956, il fut réclamé par l'Université d'Ottawa, où il exerça, de 1956 à 1966, des tâches administratives, notamment celles de vice-doyen de la faculté des arts et de secrétaire général et de registraire. En 1967, il fut adjoint au secrétariat d'état du gouvernement fédéral comme aide à l'éducation postsecondaire; il y travailla pendant seize ans, jusqu'en 1983. Résident de la maison de l'Assomption d'Ottawa, depuis 1966, il fut transféré, en 2006, à l'infirmerie de Richelieu où il a vécu jusqu'à son décès. En plus de sa famille religieuse, il laisse dans le deuil ses soeurs et frères: Blanche, Madeleine (feu Clarence Murphy), Gabrielle (soeur Blanche d'Afrique), Marcelle, Jean (Estelle Breton), Thérèse (feu Georges Polakis), Claire (Gordon Last), Pierre (Bernadette Olivier) et Michelle (Edwin Galipeau) ainsi que ses neveux et nièces. Beloved husband and devoted friend of Miriam (nee Cox), whom he met and married in England during WW ll in 1943. Loved father of William & Helen of St. Catharines and Donald Jr. & Brenda of Paris; cherished 'Pops' of Donny lll (Natalie), Julie, Lee (Jill), Heather (Chris), Kelly (Steve), and Joe (Zuzana); dear Poppa of Zak, Dylan, Chelsea-Anne Grace, Evan, and Brooklyn.
