BRUNET, Francine 1960 - 2009 On November 7, 2009, Francine Brunet passed away after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her loving husband Larry McIntosh, her daughters Stephanie and Nicole. Ross was formerly from Lachine, Quebec and Elora, Ontario before residing in Ajax. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Shelly), brother-in-law to David Shelly (Jackie) of Vankleek Hill. Uncle and godfather to Jason (U.K.), Deanah (Toronto) and Ryan Shelly (Grand Prairie, Alberta). Nephew to Aileen Shafer of Elora, Ontario and the late James Shafer. Cousin to Connie Shafer of Hanover, Ontario. Godfather to Wesley Law of Guelph, Ontario and cousin to Patrick Shafer of Kemptville, Ontario. Member of the Masonic Order, member of the Rameses Shriner Centre Toronto. Ross created R.D. associates Inc. in 1974 and continued to actively direct the company as its President up until the day of his death. MILROY, Art (Archie) (Royal Canadian Air Force; Retiree of Whitby Land Registry Office; Long time Whitby resident; Art is well known for his time spent with Ultralights and antique cars). Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on November 5, 2009, in his ninetieth year. Proud father of his two sons Keith Milroy and Gordon Milroy and his wife Louise Philippe and grandson David Milroy. Art is survived by his long time companion Joan Fuller and her extended family including stepdaughter Pat and husband Adrian and their children Carissa, Lindsay, and Julian. Grandmother of six lovely granddaughters Laura Craig (Michael), Susan Kuck (Wolfgang), Chantale Cameron (David), Kathryn, Natalie and Abby Muir, one fine grandson, David Craig and five great grandchildren. Predeceased by an infant son, husband Andrew T. Muir of Ottawa, father Honorable Francis McQuade and mother Lucille of New York, New York. GRIFFITHS, Charles A resident of Blenheim, Charles Griffiths passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the age of 101. Born in Cheshire, England, son of the late Jack and Jane (McGinley) Griffiths. Beloved husband of the late Edith May Waring, and the late Beulah McDowell Jacobs. Dear father of Charles and Margaret Griffiths of Windsor, John and Paula Griffiths of Tecumseh, David and Linda Griffiths of Breckin, and the late Audrey Meacock (1993). Father-in-law of Rev. Ron Meacock and wife Madeline of Norwood. Grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 3. Brother of the late John, Arthur, James, Walter, Ernest, Septimus, Benjamin, Edward, Mary, and Ann. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charles served for 21 years with the Royal Marines and was a Veteran of WWII. He joined the Royal Marines Forces Volunteer Reserve in 1953 until his retirement. He was a founding member of the Royal Marines Association. Charles came to Blenheim in 1975 and was a member of Trinity Anglican Church where he had served in the choir and on the Board. He was also a member of the Blenheim Senior's Centre, Kent Glee Club, and the Blenheim Golf Club. WASSON, Norman Melbourne - passed away suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on November 4, 2009. He is survived by his four children, four grandsons, his nieces and one grandnephew. Norman was born in Truro, Nova Scotia, but he lived most of his life in Saint John, New Brunswick before moving to Kingston two years ago. During his short time in Kingston, he was a volunteer driver for the Senior Citizens Centre and a member of the Canadian Railroad Historical Association. Norman has donated his body to the School of Anatomy at Queens University. A memorial reception will be held this Sunday, November 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the RCHA club, located at 198 Ontario Street. ROBERT GEORGE GLADISH (1918 - 2009) Passed away after a short illness on November 7, 2009 at North York General Hospital. Our Bob lived a long and glorious life. Predeceased by Edith, his beloved wife of 65 years, he will be sorely missed by children Janet, Robert (Veronica), David (Eva) and John; as well as by grandchildren Jennifer, Gwyneth, Meredith, Ted, Anne and Siobhan. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario, he distinguished himself as a physical education teacher at North Toronto CI and Central Technical School; in addition to being the Secretary of the TSSAA for many years. He capped his career by serving as the Coordinator of Physical Education at the Toronto School Board in the 1970's. After retirement, he put his characteristic vigour into gardening, travelling, photography, and above all, caring for his family. A Memorial Service, followed by interment, will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Chapel at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14. Wentworth took a great interest in the Walker family history, including particularly the life and times of Sir Edmund Walker, his grandfather. She was predeceased by her loving husband Brad and her infant grandson Sean Wilson Moffat. A wonderful Nana to Ryan and Jamie Moffat and Brad (Dominique Curtis), Andrew and Patrick Harris. Ellie will also be missed by her little dog Roxy. Ellie was a longtime Oakville resident and a proud volunteer at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital for over 50 years. Her family, her home, her friends and her community were the mainstays of a life well lived. She was in her 64th year. Betty was the beloved wife and soulmate of Leonard G. Kerrigan of Trout Creek; much loved mother of Kelly Hutchins (Vernon) of Golden Valley and Stacey Cyopeck (Shawn) of South River; and cherished grandmother of Curtis, Brittany, Makila, Carter, Corbin, Bryer and Spencer. LARKIN, Robert Gordon - Peacefully passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the age of 65. MANCUSO, Franca (nee Marsala) - Born September 4, 1926 in Vita, Italy, passed away November 9, 2009 at the young age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Mario. Cherished Mother of Antoneitta, Franca (Carlo) and Enza. Proud Nonna of Steven (Kristen), Debbie, Frances, Carson and Alexander. Great-nonna to Isabella and Katrina. Born in a small town in Vita, Sicilia, immigrated to Canada for a better life. Smart, proud and fierce, she with husband Mario, provided for their children. Their selflessness and waste not, want not philosophy, insured their Daughters had all of life's needs. She will be profoundly missed, with her passing, an era has ended. MCCombe, Joan - Peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, November 6, 2009, age 73 years. Beloved wife of Malcolm McCombe. Loving mother of James and Fiona. Cherished Grandma of Emma and Brennan. Dear sister of Marie, Anne, Bernard (deceased), Ted, Noreen, Lea and Rita and sister-in-law of Jean. Joan was born and raised in Great Crosby, England. She emigrated to Canada with her husband in 1969. Besides being a stay at home mother, she was happy volunteering, including four years at Agnes Davidson School in Lethbridge and four years at Collins Bay School in Kingston. She was always pleased to be able to help children and gave 17 years to the Cancer Ward for children at McMaster Hospital in Hamilton. She was a loving wife and much loved friend of many. She will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Bowmanville on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. Reception and time of fellowship to follow in the Parish Hall.
