BOULARD, Michel 1957 - 2009 Michel est décédé le 25 juin 2009 d'une terrible maladie. Malgré tout, il est resté égal à lui-même toujours fier, intelligent, responsable et soucieux du bien-être de sa famille. Nicholas, Antoine, Vincent et moi-même (Carole Lavallée) t'admirons tellement. Laisse-nous pleurer pour soulager notre immense peine, mais ne crains pas, nous allons suivre ton bel exemple de courage. Comme tu nous l'as demandé, on va se relever, se tenir debout ensemble et continuer à vivre en s'inspirant de tout ce que tu nous as appris de la vie. Nous t'aimons. Paul Maynard Gallant The death occurred, with family at his side, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, on Monday, June 29, 2009, of Maynard Gallant, loving husband of Eunice Gallant, of North Rustico, age 71. Maynard was the devoted father of Cheryl (Lester Roberts), Paula, Patrick, Lisa (Alan Murphy) and Colleen (Dougie Doiron). He was the precious grandfather of Mitchell MacLeod (Raeona Pound), Stephen Roberts, Nikki Roberts, Joelle Murphy and Caissie Doiron; and great-grandfather of Emily and Aiden MacLeod. Maynard is also survived by brothers Desi, James (Audie), Lester, Cyril (Zelda), Martin (Gail), Terry (Ginny) and sisters, Mildred (Dennis), Wanda (Andrew), Marlene (Herbie), Janet (Harold) and Rose (Errol); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Vincent R. and Celina Gallant. Resting at the McNeill Room of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, for visitation on Thursday, July 2, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Friday, July 3, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Church Cemetery. ZIVCIC, Jelka (Helen) 2009-06-29 Mrs. Helen Zivcic passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2009 in her 90th year, at the NHS General Site, St. Catharine’s Ontario surrounded by her family. She was born on March 5, 1919 in Gorinci, Croatia to Dragotin and Franca Mogus. There she met and married her husband Slavko Zivcic in 1936, with whom she had three children. Helen was only married to her beloved Slavko for 9 years when he predeceased her in 1945 during WWII. In 1968 she moved to Thunder Bay to live with her father, her daughter Zlata and son-in-law Nick. Within a few years her son Peter and daughter Danica and their families joined her. Helen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children Zlata Rozic & her husband Nick, Peter Zivcic & his wife Barbara and Danica Namestnik & her husband Andrija, by her grandchildren Nick Rozic (Heather), Suzana Rozic, Slavo Zivcic, Ljubica Novak(Branko), and Tomislav Namestnik (Dominique) and great-grandchildren Nicky, Natalie, Kyle, Cody, Shayla, Luca, Ayla, and Anya. Lovingly remembered by cousin John Paveltic, his wife Zorka, their children and grandchildren, and also many nieces, nephews and cousins in Toronto, Mississauga and Croatia. 'Poppa' to Melissa (Dave), Cynthia, Jeffrey, Danielle (Leo), Christopher, John, Sean, Matthew, Kimberly (Shawn), Jamie, Kerry, Cassandra, Stuart, Erin, Wesley. GOLUEKE , Else (nee Oesterwalbesloh) 1914 - 2009 It is with great sadness the family of Else Golueke announces her passing at the Foothills Medical Centre on Friday, June 26, 2009. Else was born in Schloss, Holte Germany on December 27, 1914. She was the youngest in the family of three sisters and one brother. Else married Josef Golueke in 1939. She and her husband Josef and their children Erwin and Waltraud immigrated to Canada in May of 1952 and settled in Newbrook, Alberta. They resided in various communities in Alberta and Saskatchewan including Ponoka, AB, Hanna, AB and Rosetown, SK before finally settling in Calgary in 1967. Else is survived by her son Erwin Golueke; daughter-in-law Annette Golueke; nephew Manuel Brechmann and his daughter Madison; four granddaughters, Juanita, Debbie (Jim), Sonya (Davey) and Naomi (Todd); five great-grandchildren, Sarah (Chris), Megan, Tyler, Miranda and James as well as three great-great-grandchildren, Dekkon, Trystin and Aurian. She was predeceased by her husband Josef in 1977; daughter Waltraud Thorsten in 1992; nephew Meik Brechmann in 2004 and twin great-great-grandsons Julien and Stefan in 2002. Else was also predeceased by her parents, brother and sisters. Françoise devoted much of her time to helping others, both by teaching at l'école St-Jean and l'école St- Denis with the Sudbury Catholic School Board and as a volunteer at Laurentian Hospital. Her greatest sources of pride and joy were her family, her home and her garden. SMITH, Major Donald Clayton (Retired) - Passed away peacefully on Saturday June 27, 2009 at the Welland County General Hospital at the age of 79. Beloved husband of June. Dear father of Phyllis (Richard) Sensabaugh and Clayton Barry Smith. Cherished grandfather of Devon, Bailey (Vince) Bonazza, Kyle, Jennelle and Jamie. Brother of Wayne (the late Jean) Smith, Terry (Sharon) Smith and the late Eric (2005). Don was in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 33 years. He was also a Civil Servant with the Privy Council. He was also the president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 396 Chippawa from 2007-2009. Cremation has taken place. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the Chippawa Legion Branch 396 on Friday July 3 at 11 o'clock with a reception to follow. ERICKSON, Robert Charles (Bob) - Suddenly, June 26, 2009 at the age of 67. It is with unbelievable sorrow that we announce the loss of the most wonderful husband, father and papa. Survived by his wife of 45 years, best friend, and love of his life, Mary. His heartbroken daughter, Leisa (Ian), Penny (Brent) and Brenda (Gary). Loving Papa to Tracie, Robert, Ryan, Karli and Melanie. Beloved brother to Betty (Reg), Ailie (Charles), John (Kay), Ole (Doreen), Terry (Judy) and Brenda. Cherished brother-in-law to Katherine (Bill), Patricia (late Bill), Theresa (Frank), Colleen (Jack), Barbara (Gaston) and Sharon (Bob). Predeceased by his parents Ragnar and Beatrice and sister Ivy. Uncle Bob was the favourite of many nieces and nephews. Semi-retired after more that 31 years of working as a Stationary Engineer, and on the maintenance crew at Sault Area Hospitals, he will be dearly missed by his friends and co-workers. Even on his days off, he loved to go and have “coffee with the boys“. Wednesday night darts at the Esquire Club will not be the same without him. Brothers John and Ole and brother-in- law Bob, will miss their time spent together on St. Joe's Island, his second home. He was so many things to so many people, our loss is unquestionable. His kind and gentle spirit could be felt by all who knew him. God knows something that we don't, and has a special purpose for him in heaven.
