Jérémie Bourque, époux de feu dame Gertrude Lapierre, demeurant à la Villa Jonquière. Il était le fils de feu M. Azade Bourque et de feu dame Florida Lafrance. WALKER, Wayne Rodger Peacefully at Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital on Friday, December 19, 2008 at the age of 62 years. Predeceased by his parents Lindsey and Florida Walker and his sister Fay. Sadly missed by partner Geraldine McGarrity and her family. Wayne is survived by a niece, nephews and cousins. Mr. Scott McKeown August 22, 1947 - January 5, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Scott McKeown at the age of 61 years. Scott will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Merrill, his children: Carol, Alan (Cara) and Erin (Rob), grandchildren: Stephanie, Ryan and Cameron, Merrill's mother Laverne, daughter Kim (James) and her children Aurora and Patrick, his sisters Lynn (Art) and Barbara (Dave) his brother Rob (Susan) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. In keeping with Scott's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Funeral Chapel, 16204 Fort Road. Mr. Joseph Henry LeBlanc August 16, 1942 - January 4, 2009 It is with great sadness, the family of Joseph Henry LeBlanc, age 66 of Springhill, NS, announce his passing at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton,NB, with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, January 4, 2009. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Raymond and Edmay (Landry) LeBlanc. In his earlier years, Joe owned and operated a taxi service and trucking business for several years. Joe also worked for CN, Costin's Paving, and Enamel Heating. Later he was employed as a Correctional Officer at Dorchester Penitentiary for 10 years and from where he transferred to Springhill Penitentiary for over 20 years until his retirement. Joe was an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed watching baseball in his free time. His many friends and family will always remember Joe for his caring and loving ways. Joseph will be greatly missed by his wife the former, Sandra (Roberts) Burke; Joe’s sons, Brett (Lindsay) LeBlanc of Moncton, NB and Scott (Loratta) LeBlanc of Amherst Head; his two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Montana; as well as brother, Peter (Connie) LeBlanc of Amherst; also three step children, Patricia Roberts of Amherst, Peter Roberts of River Hebert, NS and Mark Roberts of Calgary, AB; seven step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; foster children, Louie Keeble of Parrsboro, NS and Lena Keeble of Pugwash, NS as well as two nephews. Besides his parents, Joe was predeceased by his aunt, Marie Malley. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906). There will be no visitation prior to the funeral service, which will be held on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. from the Amherst Open Bible Church, with Rev. Jamey Grooms officiating. Mildred "Millie" Lacrisca HATCHARD July 28, 1935 - January 4, 2009 HATCHARD Mildred “Millie” Lacrisca Hatchard, age 73, of Union Corner, Hants County, passed away Sunday, January 4th, 2009, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 28th, 1935, in Newport, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Hilda (Sibbley) Sanford. Millie was employed at CKF, Stedman's and various other places in Windsor before retiring. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.009, Windsor. Millie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends where her home was always open and everyone who visited always felt welcome. Bingo, darts, bowling and watching sports on T.V. were some of her favorite past times. Surviving are daughter, Louise (James) Phillips, Union Corner; son, Herman (Susan) Hatchard, Union Corner; six grandchildren, Paul (Kristen) Phillips, Danny (Kathryn) Phillips, Theresa (Darcy) Miner, Jodi MacDonald (Loran), Ryan Hatchard (Odessa), and Josh Hatchard (Becca); eight great-grandchildren; brother, Ralph (Debbie) Sanford, Brooklyn; sisters, Shirley Sanford (Richard Hawboldt), Center Burlington; Dorothy Hatchard, Belmont; son-in-law, Ralph MacDonald, Union Corner; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Sanford, Newport Station; Nora Sutherland, Denmark; several nieces and nephews. Don Frederick RING June 5, 1931 - January 5, 2009 - RING Don Frederick Ring Sadly our family mourns the loss of Don Frederick Ring formerly of 564 Tilton Avenue, and at the time of his death a resident of Kennebec Manor, in Saint John. Born on June 5, 1931 he was the son of the late Delbert Temple and Bessie Byron (Mason) Ring. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Geraldine (Cox) Ring and his sister Muriel Edwina Armstrong. Don leaves surviving his son, Stephen Don Ring (wife, Pamela), of Saint John, NB; cousins, Ted Tilley and Marie McClure and many nieces and nephews. Don was Secretary-Treasurer and payroll clerk of Saint John News Company Limited, a magazine and book wholesalers and distributors for most of New Brunswick. During his life he enjoyed golf at the Westfield Golf and Country Club and sharing in the many artistic endeavors of his wife, Barbara who was probably best remembered for being the manager of Ring Gallery of Art from 1979 until her death in 1982. Don, in preserving the legacy of Ring Gallery of Art enabled it to continue under the management of Sheila Ross and Constance Kingston and other dedicated staff until June of 1997. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, January 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. from Hillcrest Baptist Church. Clinton Alexander MOORE January 26, 1934 - January 5, 2009 MOORE Clinton Alexander Moore, age 74, of South Uniacke, Hants County, passed away on Monday, January 5th, 2009, at his home. Born on January 26th, 1934, in Scott, Saskatchewan, he was the son of the late John Alexander Moore and Mary Margaret (Taylor) Moore-Hennings. Clint was retired as custodian at the Uniacke District School. He was former member of the Canadian Navy and had also worked at the I.M.P. at the Halifax International Airport. He was a charter member of the Uniacke Branch No.164, Royal Canadian Legion, Mount Uniacke. He is survived by his son, Gary Clinton Moore, South Uniacke; grandson, Gary Davison, South Uniacke and his mother, P.J. Hill; brother, Dayton (Leila) Moore, Blairmore, Alberta; sister, Esther Singer, Biggar, Saskatchewan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, the former Jo-ann Georgina Findlay (November 17th, 2007); brother-in-law, Ernest Singer. Visitation will be held, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, January 8th, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax. DEAN, John Alexander WWII Peacefully, Saturday, January 10, 2009 at West End Villa at the age of 96. Born in Toronto in 1912, he married the late Lorraine Pennett from Perth in 1942. Brother of the late Dora Goldthorpe, Dr. James Dean and Dr. William Dean. Brother-in-law of Mildred Pennett. He has been blessed by having a host of kind nieces and nephews. In 1938 he graduated from the University of Toronto with honours in Political Science and Economics. During WWII, as a Troop Leader in an armoured regiment he served through Sicily, Italy, France, Holland and Germany. Memorably, for a couple of days in 1943, he spear headed the thrust of the Canadian Force westward through the Appenine Mountains of Italy, until wounded. After hostilities he joined Statistics Canada taking part in the inauguration of the Labour Force Survey designed to provide a bell-wether for the governments peace time policy of Full Employment. Continuing there he served as Chief Personnel Officer through the fifties and sixties. More recently Alex grew fruit and vegetables in a small plot on the Ottawa River, a marginal contribution towards world hunger, quite a few will remember him for this. Special thanks to the staff of West End Villa for their care and compassion. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Avenue (west of Carlingwood) Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 480, will assemble for service Monday at 7 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. DOUCET, Wilfrid "Wilf" On Friday, January 9th, 2009, God took one of His most precious jewels home to be with Jesus. He was surrounded in hospital by loving family members after a short struggle with pulmonary fibrosis and heart failure. He was greatly loved and cherished by his dear wife Evelyn (nee Fitzpatrick) and his devoted daughter Marilyn. He is also survived by one sister Marjorie Manary, sisters and brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Wilf was the most wonderful person you could ever meet, intelligent, compassionate, loving and always generous and caring to all. He will be greatly missed, but we grieve with hope knowing that we one day will see him again in heaven's portals, a day which we will always be longing for. HUME, Michael Allen My father, Michael Allen Hume, was born on December 22, 1951, and died suddenly on January 11, 2005. I am now 17 years old, and want to thank my father, for many things, on this anniversary of his passing. Thank you Dad for our Saturdays at the library, and grocery shopping together. For taking me to Beth's house in the mornings, in the wagon or the sled; and listening to Sheryl Crowe and Lynard Skynard in the car. Thank you for teaching me to talk back, and stand up to the consequences when I do. I will never stop appreciating your talents, and it will take me a very long time to understand the beauty in the work that you did. Thank you for my Sailor Moon birthday party, invitations and all; it will always be a special memory. He enjoyed boxing and for 10 years he coached at the Sackville Boxing Club. He also enjoyed baseball and loved to read and watch TV. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Anne Solt, and her son , Brian Robert (Carolyn) Saunders, all of McAlester, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Tamara Lynne Martin Wakely, Moultrie, Georgia; grandsons, Haley Robert Saunders, Daisy, Oklahoma and Christopher Dale Saunders, Atoka, Oklahoma; seven great-granddaughters, Ashleigh Elizabeth Hogan, Sabrina Anne Hogan White, and Amanda Grace Hogan, all of Killeen, Texas; Shelby Lynn Saunders and Annaliese Saunders, of Wichita, Kansas; Tazera and Chaysa Saunders, of Atoka, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Ryan Robert Saunders, of Wichita, Kansas; one great great-grandson, Robert LeBlanc III, of Killeen, Texas; brother, Herman (Myrtle) Archibald, Windsor; sister-in-law, Ally Archibald, Sackville. Mrs. Selma E. Estabrooks August 1, 1920 - January 3, 2009 Selma E. Estabrooks, wife of the late Parker Estabrooks passed away peacefully at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Saturday, January 3rd , 2009. Born in Midgic, NB, on August 1st. 1920, she was the daughter of the late Hersey and Alice Sears. Selma was employed in the Catalog Department of the T. Eaton Co. Moncton for many years. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed knitting, playing cards, especially crib and she loved animals. She is survived by her son Jackie Estabrooks (Margaret) of Hillsborough, daughters Myrna Bourgeois (Derrick Palmer) of Moncton, daughter Sharon Cameron (Ralph) of Lutes Mountain, brother Basil Sears (Shirley) of Sackville, sister Marj Bice (Mert) of Sarnia, ON, twin sister Shirley Estabrooks (late Junior) of Sackville. grandchildren; Kathy, Kristy, Kim, Sherry, Beth, Lisa and Scott, 9 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Selma was predeceased by a son Michael Kimberly in infancy as well as 5 brothers. There will be no visitation by request. Mrs. Joyce Marion Peverille September 28, 1924 - January 4, 2009 74. It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother and grandmother at her home in Lower Sackville on January 4, 2009. Joyce was a well-known Sackville resident and will be fondly remembered by her friendly smile to everyone she met, especially customers of the Lower Sackville Post Office. She began her career with General Motors at an early age and married long-time Sackville resident, Douglas Peverill who was well- known for his athletic skills (inducted into the Sackville Sports Hall of Fame). Joyce loved nothing better than a hockey game and recently followed all games by her precious grandson, Kolton. She also loved a good joke and a good chat on the phone to all her friends. She is survived by her only daughter, Susan Peverill-Stevens; her son-in-law, Peter Stevens, her beloved grandson, Kolton Stevens. She will be missed by her precious granddog, Erin. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Peverill; her long-time friend, John Hankey; her father, Edward Waugh; stepfather, John Martin and mother, Eva (Romans) Waugh Martin. No visitation by family request. Funeral service to be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in First Sackville Presbyterian Church, Rev. Lorne MacLeod officiating. VLAD, John Having celebrated his 100th birthday and 69th anniversary to his loving wife Mary, John finally succumbed to the years on January 9, 2009. His voyage with Mary from Transylvania to England to wonderful Canada has come to an end, but he leaves an extensive family of great grandchildren (Alexis, Victoria, Devin), grandsons (Elliot, Sean, Alexander), son Mircea (Mitch) and Deborah (Moriarty), plus niece Mariana, Reg and Calvin. The final leg of the trip was greatly assisted by family doctor Marc Langill and Julie; homecare ladies Tracy, Dale and Nadia; and the entire family. BARRETT (nee Feeney), Margaret Anne Born February 26, 1924 in Saint John, NB, passed away peacefully on December 18 in Vancouver, BC with daughter Mary and son Michael by her side. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond (2002), her brother John (1944), and her sister Rita Barry (2003). She will be greatly missed by her son Michael and his wife Irene, daughter Margaret (Ross) and her husband Ken, daughters Mary and Cathie, and her sisters Mary Stevens and Moira Bassetti. She will also be missed by her grandchildren Christopher, Lani, Adam, Gregory, and David. Margaret's greatest love was her family and she treasured her friends. She was the definition of a gentle soul and all who met her felt her kindness.
