Robina Lavigne Montreal, QC - 71, of Montreal, QC, passed away on Tuesday (June 24, 2008) in Montreal, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Elizabeth (Duclos) Lavigne. Robina worked for over 40 years in the Electronics Industry in both Montreal and Toronto. Upon her retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Florida and taking cruises. She is survived by two sisters, Patrina (Werner) Hofmann of Montreal, Gloria (Raymond) Doucet of Bathurst; five brothers, Elmer, Maynard (Jessie), David (Pam), Thomas and Omer (Emma) all of Bathurst; numerous nieces and nephews. Robina was pre-deceased by two sisters, Anita Degrace, Marjorie Blanchard; four brothers, Cletus, Alvin, Edgar and Norman. Visitation was held at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. UNGER, Mike In memory of our beloved Michael Unger who courageously lost his battle with cancer on June 28, 2008. Michael was the son of Anna and Mathius Unger and beloved brother to Cathy. He was born August 7, 1940 in Montreal where he spent his childhood. In the later part of his life he resided in both Ottawa and the Greater Toronto area. Michael was successful in both his professional and personal life. Professionally he attained executive status Nortel Networks, retiring in 2000. He then sat on the Board of Directors for various companies, offering his wisdom, knowledge and assisting them in their success. He was a business man at heart and dedicated his time to these companies up until weeks before his passing. He was a man remembered by most for his integrity, kindness, passion and his strength. His warm eyes and kind words made people around him feel safe and secure. In his personal life he had a beautiful family whom he loved unconditionally. His profound love left an impression on each of their hearts that will allow them to live and love in his memory and carry forward the legacy of a great man. He leaves behind his family including his children Steven, Joelle (Greg Morettin), and Julie (Paul Perruzza), grandchildren Chloe and Marcus Morettin. He also leaves behind his loving partner Christine and her father Archie McIntyre, her family Sharon (Sam McIntyre), Peggy (Robbie Duncan) and David Duncan. We will miss him as he continues his spiritual journey and is reunited with his beloved wife Claudette Unger. Melanie was a former graphic designer; she enjoyed painting, drawing and was a former volunteer with different organizations. She loved walking (especially with her dogs) and was a lover of the outdoors and the study of nature. DELUCRY, PAUL The passing of Paul DeLucry, of Fredericton, NB, husband of Ruth (Hawkes) DeLucry occurred on Saturday, June 28, 2008 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on December 28, 1933 in Tay Creek, NB, he was a son of the late Leo and Margaret (Hayes) DeLucry. Paul was a mechanic with the City of Fredericton for several years and attended St. Theresa's Catholic Church. In addition to his wife of 54 years, Paul is survived by his three children, Bev (Doug) Newman of Peterborough, ON, Janice (Garth) Gilks of Rusagonis, NB and Dale DeLucry of Fredericton, NB; three grandchildren, Mark Newman of Peterborough, ON, Ryan Gilks of Fredericton, NB and Kara Gilks (Dan MacDonald) of Rusagonis, NB; two great grandchildren, Sebastien and Darnell; one brother, John (Shirley) DeLucry of Fredericton, NB; two sisters, Greta (Glen) Clarkson and Ellen Ann (Hazen) Thomas both of Fredericton, NB; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Stepfather of Sheila Barnes of Windsor, Chris Wisson of Azilda, Valerie Wisson of Vancouver, Maurice Brisebois of Sarnia, Sylvia Rahn of Hanmer, Yvonne Giambattista of Val Caron, Normand Brisebois of Toronto, Monique Severin, Gilles Brisebois and George Brisebois of Sudbury. He loved sports, golfing, curling and cards. Jack worked for INCO as a member for over 20 years and he worked for Mine Mill Union for 18 years. BENNETT, Douglas Haig. 1918-2008 Hudson, Quebec. Passed away June 28, 2008 at The Lakeshore General Hospital after a brief stay at Ste. Anne's Hospital. Beloved husband of Teddy for sixty-six years. Proud father of Jeannette (Ralph), Barbara (Brian), Elaine (Bob) and Dryden (Margaret). Cherished Poppa to JD (Sarah), Suzanne (Ron), Hilary (John), Ashley and Marc. Adoring great-grandfather to Alex, Sarah, and Jack. Youngest member of the St. Lambert Bennett family (of nine). Survived by sisters-in-law Margaret (Percy) and Audrey (Bert). Accomplished athlete and Proud Olympian - Member of the Canadian canoe team - Silver Medallist in the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. Inducted into St. Lambert Sports Hall of Fame in 1982, The Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2000 and The Quebec Sports Hall of Fame in 2003. Served with the Canadian Army in World War II 1939-1945. Twenty-nine years with Bell Canada and was chosen one of 125 Bell Heroes in 2005 celebrating Bell Canada's 125th Anniversary. Thanks to the caring staff at the Ste. Anne's Hospital and special thanks also to Judy and Betty and the wonderful staff of NOVA Hudson as well as the care and attention by the CLSC. SAUDER, Ronald Noah It is with great love and affection that the family announces the passing of Ron Sauder on Saturday June 28, 2008. He died suddenly but peacefully at the age of 84. He will be greatly missed by his children Al (Christine), Bruce (Judy), Robert, Mary (Mike) and Kathleen (Rose) as well as his grandchildren, Ariana, Fiona, Allison, Isaac, Grainger, Alex and Keely and his eldest sister Eileen Ball. He is predeceased by his wife Jean Sauder (nee Grainger) and his siblings Enid, Mark, and Mary. Ron spent most of his life in the field of education as a teacher, curriculum designer, university professor, and instructional trainer in the Canadian Forces. He also worked in international development in Africa and China. He was a true globetrotter and travelled extensively. He was an active volunteer, for example, devoting many hours to Meals on Wheels. Loved and admired wherever he went, he was always imbued with great warmth and a jovial spirit. Despite his many talents and intelligence, he remained a humble man always willing to help others. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, on Wednesday July 2nd from 7 - 9 p.m. A Celebration of his Life will be held in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, followed by a reception in the McGarry Family Reception Centre.
