Rosalie Boudreau Mise à jour le lundi 26 février 2007 Par: l'Acadie Nouvelle BERESFORD - À l’Hôpital régional Chaleur de Bathurst, le samedi 24 février 2007, à l’âge de 86 ans, est décédée Rosalie Boudreau, épouse de feu Léandre Boudreau (1973), domiciliée au Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes de Bathurst, mais autrefois de Beresford. Née à Robertville, elle était fille de feu Edouard et Gertrude Godin. Elle laisse dans le deuil deux fils: Albénie (Lise) et Valmond (Adéline), tous deux de Dunlop; cinq filles: Rosella Desgagnés (Jocelyn) et Sylvia Boudreau, toutes deux de Sainte-Louise, Lorraine Good (Ronald) de Tétagouche-Sud, Ginette Pitre (Stephan) de Bathurst et Aline Boudreau de Robertville, ainsi que 21 petits-enfants, 20 arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs nièces et neveux. Deux fils: Louis et Yvon et une petite-fille, Sophie, l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Elle était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. La dépouille mortelle est exposée à la Maison funéraire Héritage, 270, rue centre, à Beresford (www.mfheritage. com). Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Nom-de-Jésus de Beresford, le lundi 26 février, à 16h30. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire de Bathurst, au printemps. Heures de visites: le lundi 26 février, de 14h jusqu’au départ pour les funérailles.

Il était fils de feu Cléophas Guitard et Eva Lejeune de Pointe-Verte. Il laisse dans le deuil un frère, Ferdinand (Pam) Guitard de Point la Nim; ses soeurs: Violette Guitard de Bathurst, Thérèse (Jean-Yves) Dumont de Regentigny, Qué., Géraldine (feu Martin) Couture de Bathurst, Charlotte Guitard de Beresford et Adrienne Guitard de Bathurst, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Quatre frères: Jean-Marc, François, Evangéliste et Cléophas Jr, ainsi qu’une soeur, Marie, l’ont précédé dans la tombe. Il n’y aura pas de visites à la Maison funéraire. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 15h30, le mercredi 28 février, en l’église Saint-Nom-de-Jésus de Beresford, d’où les funérailles auront lieu à 16h30. Un don au Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes serait apprécié.

Marie Goguen (1911-2007) Mise à jour le lundi 26 février 2007 Par: l'Acadie Nouvelle COCAGNE - À l’Hôpital régional Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont de Moncton, le samedi 24 février 2007, à l’âge de 95 ans, est décédée après une courte maladie Marie Goguen, domiciliée au Foyer Côte d’Or de Cocagne. Née à Cocagne le 7 décembre 1911, elle était fille de feu Philippe et de feu Préscille (née Daigle) Goguen. Marie était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. Elle laisse dans le deuil plusieurs neveux et nièces. Trois soeurs: Mélina, Léonie, Lucie, ainsi que trois frères: Léo, Edmond et Hector l’ont prédécédée dans la tombe. La dépouille mortelle est exposée à la salle mortuaire de l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne. Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Saint-Pierre de Cocagne, le lundi 26 février, à 16h. L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial, au printemps. Heures de visites: le lundi 26 février, de 14h à 15h45. McSHEFFREY, FRANCES SARAH (1925-2007) - passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, February 24, 2007. Wife of the late John McSheffrey. Born in Petersville NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Jane (Butler) Hogan. Frances is survived by two daughters, Linda (Rick) Robinson and Veronica (Allen) Titus; two sons, William (Peggy) McSheffrey and David (Ruth) McSheffrey; six grandchildren, Jami Robinson, John and Stephanie Titus, Tyler, Mark and Kyle McSheffrey; one great grandson, Joey. Frances will also be sadly missed by a sister, Catherine (Bartley) Owens of Geary; two brothers, Melville "Paddy" (Rose) Hogan of New Maryland, Alfred Hogan of Toronto. Besides her husband John, Frances was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Breen, Ellen McCann, Vera O'Donnell and Irene Woagy; as well as her brothers, Herbert Hogan and Arthur Hogan. Wesley "Wes" Wood POINT de BUTE - The death of Wesley "Wes" Wood, age 89 of Point de Bute, occurred at the Moncton City Hospital on Sunday, February 25, 2007, following a lengthy illness. Born in West Devon, PEI, he was a son of the late Charles and Elsie (Rayner) Wood. A lumberman and farmer, he worked with Dexter Construction for many years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Amherst. Wes loved to work and continued to operate heavy equipment and took up farming, after retirement. Wes will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Daisy MacLean, Point de Bute; sons, Leslie (Gloria), Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC and Donald (Kathy Elliott), Point de Bute; a daughter, April, Point de Bute; grandchildren, Terri-Anne Newell, Dale, Sean, Keith, Krystal, Christopher, Holly Wood and Jamie and Travis Elliott; and by several great grandchildren. Joseph Edmond Richard ROGERSVILLE, NB - At the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, February 23rd, 2007, passed away, Joseph Edmond Richard, at the age of 87. He was the husband of the late Yvonne Boudreau in first wedding, and in second wedding of Rita Arseneau. Born on August 15th, 1919, he was the son of the late Edmond Barrieau and the late Christine Richard. He is survived by his wife, as well as five daughters, Phyllis (late Danny VanHorn) from Acadie Siding, Angela (Noël Bastarache) from Acadie Siding, Gloria (Greg Clapp) from NH, USA, Christine (Elphège Landry) from Acadie Siding, and Claudette (Ronald Vienneau) from Cap Pelé; four sons, Billy (Imelda) from Acadie Siding, Roger from Saint-Louis, Donald (Alice) fron Shediac and Reginald (Carmelle Légère) from Cap Pelé; eight step children; three sisers; two brothers; as well as 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. CAMPBELL, FRANCES HAMILTON - The death of Frances Hamilton Campbell occurred at the Nashwaak Villa on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 at the age of 93. Born in Saint John, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Carson Robert Hamilton and Elizabeth (Nickerson) Hamilton. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles William Campbell; three sisters, Aline, Florence and Lois; and one brother, Wendell. Claude Wilbur Copp 1916-2007 Claude Wilbur Copp, 90, of Kenneth Spencer Memorial Home passed away peacefully on February 24, 2007 at the nursing home. Claude was born in Waterside, on August 6, 1916 the son of the late Roy Harley Copp and Stella May (Wilbur) Copp. He was a war veteran of World War II serving overseas. He was retired from the Canadian Pacific Railway. Claude was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. BASTIN, RACHEL M. The death occurred peacefully on Saturday February 24, 2007 of Rachel M. Bastin of Fredericton, wife of the late Vernon C. Bastin. Born in Saint John on February 1, 1912, she was the only child of the late Walter T. and Estella (Flower) McBay and was a graduate of the Provincial Normal School in the class of 1930. Her faith and her family were central in Rae's life. She was a constant source of love and strength for the several generations of her immediate and extended family whose lives she touched. Rae and Vern lived in Fredericton and Edmundston; over the years, she was active in the life and work of Brunswick St. Baptist Church in Fredericton and St. Paul's United Church in Edmundston, and in the IODE and King's Daughters. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Bastin; and son, George (Elizabeth) Bastin of Fredericton; her grandson, Geoff (Tiffany) Bastin of Fredericton; her granddaughter, Martha (John) McClelland of Thunder Bay, Ontario; and her four great-granddaughters, Alia and Annika Bastin and Sarah and Hannah McClelland. Ann is survived by three sons, Rodney (Jody) of Fredericton, Ronald (Leslie) of Halifax, Lance (Deanna) of Fredericton; one brother, Quintin (Rita) Crowell of Barrie Ontario; one sister, Alta Harvey (Ken) of Kingsclear; her grandchildren, Gracie, Chase, Holly and Caitlyn; her mother in law, Chris Jordan; many nieces and nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by one daughter, Wendy Lee; and her ex-husband, Gary Jordan. Resting at the 2nd Kingsclear Baptist Church, where visitation will be held Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the 2nd Kingsclear Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM. With Rev. James Cowan and Rev. Roger Urquhart officiating.
