NEW BEDFORD -- Marie (Farland) Cayer, 88, of New Bedford died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Charles R. Cayer. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Adelard and Louise (St. Denis) Farland. She lived in this area all her life and was a former communicant of St. Anne's Church. She was a packer at Aerovox Co. until she retired. Mrs. Cayer enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the rest of her family. Survivors include two daughters, Diane M. Samanica-Enos and her husband, James, of East Freetown, and Charlene Johnson and her husband, James, of New Bedford; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Adelard Farland, Albert Farland and Alfred Farland. Her funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Marguerite Mary Duplantier McCarron, age 84 years, died on Friday, October 7, 2005, in Lafayette, LA. Survivors include her daughter, Elizabeth McCarron Warren; her son-in-law, Andrew C. Warren, Jr.; her twin granddaughters, Genevieve Claire Warren and Elyse Marguerite Warren; her three brothers, Edward Duplantier, Hilton Duplantier and Gerald Duplantier; her four sisters, Florelle ""Sammy'' Senac, Evelyn deLassus, Elizabeth ""Betty'' Booker and Miriam ""Mickey'' Ferry. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph William McCarron, Jr.; her parents, Armand Joseph Duplantier, Sr. and Florelle Lillian Lafaye Duplantier; and her three brothers, Armand Joseph Duplantier, Jr., John Albert Duplantier and Richard Duplantier. A native and lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA and a recent resident of Lafayette, LA. Mrs. McCarron attended Mount Carmel Academy and graduated from Eleanor McMain High School and Maybin Business School. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in New Orleans, a former president of the St. Pius X Mothers' Club, and a volunteer for the church and school. Mrs. McCarron actively volunteered for many organizations including the Girl Scouts, Mount Carmel Academy, St. Michael's School, the Heart Association, the Cancer Society, St. Elizabeth's and the New Orleans Museum of Art. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, October 12, 2005, for Marguerite Mary Duplantier McCarron. FORT KENT - Martha M. Jarrett, 73, died suddenly Oct. 25, 2005, at a local healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 18, 1932, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Belonie and Laura (Michaud) Gagnon. Martha worked as a police dispatcher for the Town of Fort Kent for 18 years. She was a member of the St. Louis Choir, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, C.O.F., and the Ladies of St. Anne, all of Fort Kent. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Joseph and his wife, Peggy, Mark and his wife, Maureen, all of Fort Kent and Laure and her husband, Norman Roy, of Eagle Lake; one brother, Gilman Gagnon of Connecticut; one sister, Dora Dumond of Fort Kent; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Friends may call 8 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home. LANCASTER -- Roberta Ann (Pirro) Beaudet, 60, of Lancaster, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster, after a long illness. She was born in Leominster on April 24, 1945, the daughter of Anthony and Virginia (Cuthbert) Pirro.She worked for 20 years at Miles Kedex Company in Leominster. She later worked at Keystone Center in Leominster as an aide, retiring in 1999 after 10 years.Her greatest joy came from her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.Mrs. Beaudet leaves her husband, Albert Beaudet; three daughters, Pamela Nauman of Lancaster, Christine Adey and her husband, Bryan, of Leominster, and Nicole Beaudet and her fiancee, Timothy Wise, of Lancaster; one brother, Anthony Pirro of Lancaster; one sister, Rita Smith of New Hampshire; and four grandchildren. DEMMINGS, CLIFFORD E. - The death of Clifford E. Demmings of Perth-Andover occurred on October 25, 2005 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 80. Born in Aroostook, he was the son of the late Basil and Fern (Goodine) Demmings. Clifford enrolled in the Canadian Army in 1946 at the age of 17 with the IV Princess Louise Dragoon Guards. He was qualified in the trade of Driver Mechanic and was employed at this trade in the NO. 4 R.E.CC.E. Corps. He fought in Holland, England and Italy where he was wounded. After returning home he worked for the CP Rail for 38 years. He was an avid fisherman and card player. He is survived by his wife Mary-Louise Demmings; children Carol (William) Walton of Wallace, NS, Diane Demmings (Charlie DeLong) of Pompano, Florida, Kip (Mieke) Demmings of Creston, BC, Laurie Demmings (Rudy Valentino) of Dartmouth, NS, Lois Demmings (Tim Rideout) of Aroostook and Kerry (Carol) Demmings of Curry Brook; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; half brother Harry Taylor of Vancouver Island, BC, brother-in-law David Bentley of Victoria, BC, and nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his pets Cherokee, Cloudy, Dolly and Butterscotch. Predeceased by his parents, sister Rita, brother Donald. OBITUARY JOZEF A. SALOMON-DE-FRIEDBERG Passed away on October 19, 2005 at Hopital Glengarry Memorial Hospital, Alexandria, Ontario at the age of 85 years. Jozef was born on April 24, 1920 in Teresin, Poland. He was a Flight Lieutenant in the 305 Polish Squadron of the RAF during World War II. In 1946, he married Jadwiga Maczynska and the family emigrated to Canada in 1953. Jozef worked as a dyer for several textile companies in Canada and the United States before his retirement in 1985. His passions in life were tennis, bridge and hockey and in later years, his vegetable garden. He was generous and kind and always willing to lend a hand. He loved good jokes, funny stories and he liked to sing. His family meant the world to him and he always thought of them first. He is survived by his wife, Jadwiga, his children, Barbara, Elizabeth, Henry, Zofia and Adam, his grandchildren, Tristan and Cameron, his brothers Rudek Friedberg (Sacramento, California) and Andrzej Friedberg (Belfast, Prince Edward Island), his sisters Teresa Kaczmarek (Nottingham, England) and Maria Wisoky (Hobart, Tasmania). The funeral will take place on Friday, October 28, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Finnan's Cathedral in Alexandria, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the donor's favourite charity. MOSLINGER, KURT CARL. Passed away in Calgary, Alberta on October 22, 2005 at the age of seventy-four years. Kurt is survived by his loving family: Eva (Otta) Robatsch of Vienna, Austria, Susan Colgan of Calgary, Maureen Morrison of Whistler, B.C., Megan Colgan, Steven Morrison, Geoffery Morrison, Holly Morrison-Darke, Karen Foard, Michael Lighton, Allan Lighton, Kenneth Lighton and their families. He was predeceased by his life companion Alma Keen in 1993, Barbara Lighton-Michew, and his parents Robert and Theresa. Kurt immigrated to Montreal, Quebec in 1951 from Vienna, Austria. Following his retirement from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in 1990, he and Alma settled in Calgary. At Kurts request there will be no formal service. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the residence of Susan Colgan. GUILLET, Claude p.m.é 1930 - 2005 M. l'abbé Claude Guillet, prêtre des Missions-Étrangères, est décédé au Honduras, le 21 octobre 2005, à l'âge de 74 ans et 10 mois. Né à St-Jean le 20 décembre 1930, il était le fils de Etienne Guillet et de Wilhelmine Thibault. Il a fait ses études secondaires au Séminaire de St-Jean et ses études théologiques au Grand Séminaire des Missions-Etrangères de Pont-Viau. Ordonné prêtre le 2 juillet 1955, il travailla à la formation des futurs missionnaires de 1958-1967 à Pont-Viau et à la revue «Missions Étrangères» de 1968-1974. Il part pour le Honduras le 14 septembre 1974 où il a travaillé comme missionnaire jusqu'en 2005. Il laisse dans le deuil, outre ses confrères missionnaires, son frère Jean-Paul (p.m.é.), ses soeurs Jacqueline et son époux Fernand Paquette, Suzanne, sa belle-soeur Gabrielle, ainsi que des neveux, des nièces et de nombreux autres parents et amis. Les funérailles ont eu lieu samedi le 22 octobre 2005, à Tegucigalpa, au Honduras. WILKINS, FREDERICK WILLIAM Frederick William Wilkins, husband of the late Klyne Maude (Saunders) Wilkins, of Fredericton, NB, passed away at the age of 90, on October 24, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on December 6, 1914 in Tay Falls, NB, he was a son of the late Alfred and Marie (Grandame) Wilkins. Fred and his brother Melvin were the founders of Wilkins Building Supplies. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and a charter member of the Nashwaaksis Lions Club. Fred enjoyed woodworking, gardening and spending time with his family at Davidson Lake and Woodlands. He is survived by his son, Vaughn Wilkins (Valerie) of Fredericton, NB; four daughters, Patricia Wilcox (Clark), Barbara Clarke (Wayne), Eleanor Dougherty (Don) and Bonnie Watt (Neill) all of Fredericton, NB; 12 grandchildren, Steven and Andrew Wilcox, Janelle Smith, Mitchell and Roddy Clarke, Jill Wishart, Scott Dougherty, Patrick Watt, Kelly Fradsham, Bradley Watt, Vanessa McCullogh and Brianne Blacquier; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Albert Van Essen, 80 Albert Van Essen, of Prescott, died on Sept. 20, 2005 at Brockville General Hospital at the age of 80. He was born on March 11, 1925 at Apeldoorn, Holland to his parents Steven Vanessen and Jansje Dewilde. He married Joanna Testerink on April 28, 1948 in Apeldoorn. In 1952, Mr. and Mrs. Van Essen moved to Prescott where they raised their family. He spent eight years farming; he was then a long-term truck driver with Brockville Chemicals. His hobbies and interests were mostly work-related: painting, roofing and later wheeling and dealing in scrap metals. He always enjoyed a game of cards with friends and family as well as a WWF match, and he also enjoyed listening to gospel music. He is survived by his wife Joanna, children Jeni Dyment (Paul) of Brighton, Heidi Murray (John) of Orangeville, John (Brenda) of Bowmanville and Wendo Van Essen of Phoenix, Arizona, his grandchildren Peter (Kirsten), Joanna (Sheldon), Elizabeth, Sarah, Claire (Andrew), Alison, Derek, John David, Amanda (Bryan) and Michael (Kim), six great grandchildren, his sister Johanna Vanbreda of Holland and nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers in law and sisters in law in Holland. He was also a dear friend of Aubrey and Patty Dillabough of Prescott. He was predeceased by his parents and infant son Stephen. Family and friends visited at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott on Sept. 22, 2005. The funeral service was held in the chapel on Sept. 23. Rev. Laurie Milito officiated. A tribute was made by Mr. Van Essen's son, John, and his granddaughter Amanda sang one of his favourite hymns, How Great Thou Art. Burial took place at Blue Church Cemetery on Sept. 23. Arthur Joseph Hare, 59 Arthur Joseph Hare, 59, ended a lengthy and determined battle with cancer on Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 at St. Vincent de Paul Hospital. He was surrounded by his immediate family and close friends. Born Dec. 6, 1945 to Marjorie (nee Barnes) and the late Hugh Hare, he was raised and educated in Maitland and Prescott. Employed for eight years with the circulation department at the Brockville Recorder and Times, he was later employed as a painter in both residential and commercial sectors. A winner of many marksmanship trophies, he was a past member of the Brockville District Fish and Game Club and current member of the Grenville Fish and Game Club in Prescott. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, artwork and painting, and was an enthusiastic collector and trader of Canadian and British military antiques. Teamed with brother Lloyd, "The Brothers" Military Collectors earned the friendship and respect of many fellow collectors across Canada, the U.S., and abroad. He is survived by dear friend and companion Elaine Dillabough of Brockville, daughter Angela and husband Steve Campbell of Roebuck, son Joe and Penny Easter of Prescott, grandchildren Chad, Nicolas and Logan Campbell, and Joseph and Taylor Hare. Also surviving are his mother Marjorie, brothers Earl, Keith and his wife Shannon, Mrs. Lloyd Hare (Janice), and several neices and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Hugh, brother Lloyd, and granddaughters Sara Campbell and Karen Hare. Friends called at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott on Thursday, Oct.13, 2005. Interment was in Maynard Cemetery Oct. 14, 2005. Pallbearers were Earl Hare, Keith Hare, Ray Gareau, Steve Campbell, Chad Campbell, Carson Massey, Greg McDougall and Dave Hurlbut. The family wishes to extend a sincere "thank you" to the staff of the Palliative Care unit in Brockville, and to the staff of the Chris Slater Funeral Home, Prescott, especially Allecia Atkinson, for their tireless assistance and support on Arthur's behalf, and also recently on behalf of his brother Lloyd. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and The Palliative Care Unit, St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Brockville will greatfully be acknowledged.

Née le 30 juillet 1918, elle était fille de feu Valentin Robichaud et de feu Olga Landry. Outre son époux, elle laisse dans le deuil une fille, Ginette (Don Blair) de Moncton, ainsi qu’une belle-soeur, Esther (feu Roger Robichaud) de Tracadie-Sheila. Mme Arsenault était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. Deux soeurs: Corinne Robichaud et Simonne Robichaud, ainsi qu’un frère, Roger l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
