Elle était la fille de feu Johnny Desbiens et de feu Blanche Poitras. Selon la volonté de la défunte, il n’y aura pas d’exposition. Les funérailles auront lieu le samedi 16 avril 2005 à 10 h 30 à la chapelle mariale de la Cathédrale Chicoutimi Les cendres seront déposées au cimetière Saint-François-Xavier de Chicoutimi. Elle était la soeur de: feu Marie-Ange Desbiens (feu Jean-Joseph Tremblay), feu Wilbrod Desbiens (feu Maria Lavoie), feu Léopold Desbiens (Pierrette Lavoie), feu Marie-Rose Desbiens, feu Gérard Desbiens (feu Cécile Perron), feu Thérèse Desbiens, René Desbiens, Gabrielle Desbiens (Julien Tremblay). Elle était la belle-sœur de: feu Gérard Pilote (feu Rita Houde), Rita Pilote, feu Victor Pilote (feu Jeannine Maltais), Huguette Martel, Antoine Martel (feu Léonie Gaudet), Monique Martel (feu Prospère Pronovost), feu Jos Martel (feu Régina Lavoie). Rosaire ''Bob'' J. St. Hilaire, 87, of Harris Rd., and formerly of Ash St., Nashua died Wednesday April 13, 2005 at the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare. Mr. St. Hilaire was born in St. Sylvestre, PQ Canada on June 14, 1917 a son of the late Napoleon & Marie (Perreault) St. Hilaire. He was the widower of L. Pearl (Lessard) St. Hilaire who died April 21, 1998. Mr. St. Hilaire was a longtime resident of Nashua and was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church. Prior to his retirement, Mr. St. Hilaire had been employed by the International Paper Box Co. He was a WWII Army veteran serving with the HQ Battery 16th Artillery in Central Europe. Mr. St. Hilaire was pre deceased by a granddaughter Kim Gonyea as well as several brothers and sisters. GUITARD, LILLIAN ARVELLA (BRADFORD) - Lillian Guitard the wife of the late Theodore Guitard, of Old Black River Road, died peacefully with her family at her side at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on April 13th, 2005. Born in Black's Harbour, NB, a daughter of the late Myles and Alma (Wade) Bradford. Lillian worked at Red Rose Tea for 17 years, then as a school bus driver for 20 years at District #8 until her retirement. The love of her life was her family and trailering with her friends at Wally's in Cambridge Narrows. Her greatest passion was quilting. She enjoyed outings with her best friend Shirley Knox. She loved figure skating. Lillian also loved to bowl in her spare time. Lillian was a loving mother to three daughters; Vickie Watson (Ron), Susan Dean (David "Hucky") of Saint John, NB and Barbara Kelly of Toronto, ON; one son, Norman (Edie) of Saint John, NB; four sisters, Bernadeen Terrell, Ellen Borthwick, Bertha Muise, and Floretta Perreault; one brother, Brad Bradford; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Fernand Robert Thibodeau, born September 17, 1931, left this physical world on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 after suffering a stroke at home. Fernand had an exuberance rarely matched by others. He left a vivid impression on all people he met. He was born in Kennebunk, Maine to Lorenzo and Lauretta Thibodeau and grew up in Sanford, Maine with his older brother, Leonard and younger brother, Donald. He joined the United States Air Force in 1951 leaving in 1955. Fernand met his bride to be, Joan Gerber, while stationed in Minneapolis in 1954 and they were married in February 1955. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends in February 2005. Fernand was passionate about his work and spent his career assisting companies to manage and refine their information technologies and programming systems. He loved what he did and the people with whom he worked. Fern's wife and partner, Joan, was Fern's love and soulmate and was forever at his side. While his travels took him all over the United States and the world, there was only one place he truly felt was his and that was home with Joan. Fernand leaves to carry on, his wife, Joan, their children, Lauretta Joan Horton, and her husband, Kevin; Kathryn Anne Carrigan, her husband Frank, children Caitlin Joan and John Michael; Charles Robert Thibodeau, his wife Dawn, children Michael Klein and Madeline Rose, and "honorary" son, William Ralph Sturm, Jr., his wife Julie, children Kristian and Patrick; brother Leonard Thibodeau and his wife Lorraine of Maine; sister-in-law Rachael Abrams and her husband Ed of Maine; and nieces and nephews. There are many friends who are like family and we thank all of them for their love and support throughout Fern's life and his illness. Alice Hordon Austin, 95 formerly of 20 Birch Hill Rd., Melrose, MA died Tuesday at the Union Hospital in Lynn, MA. Mrs. Austin was born February 11, 1910 in Whitinsville, MA., the daughter of the late Harvey and Josephine (St. Andre) Deslauriers.She was the wife of the late Richard Hordon and the late G. Warren Austin.A graduate of Northboro High School and the Marlboro Hospital School for Nursing, She had worked as a nurse at the Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA., the Choate Memorial Hospital in Woburn. MA, and the Malden Hospital in Malden, MA.Mrs. Austin was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church of Melrose, MA., a Past President of the Episcopal Church Womens' Organization and the non-denominational society Church Women United. She had served 14 years as the Director of the American Rod Cross Needs Program and Food Pantry. For many years she was coordinator of the Community Association Thrift Shop located on Main Street, Melrose, MA., and was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations for her generosity and dedication to community service.She enjoyed music and dance, was an accomplished gardener and loved to travel. NORTH ADAMS -- Anita Lucille Dupuis, 86, of 75 North St. died yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown. Born in Adams on July 1, 1918, daughter of Joseph and Matilda Pinsonnault Fortin, she attended schools there. Mrs. Dupuis was the cafeteria manager of Drury High School in the 1960s and 1970s. She later was employed for two years in the cafeteria at the former Sprague Electric Co., retiring in 1978. She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church. Her husband, Leo W. Dupuis, whom she married Sept. 5, 1936, in Notre Dame Church in Adams, died Jan. 8, 1982. She leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Keating of Everett, Wash.; a son, John F. Dupuis of Windsor, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Another daughter, Theresa A. Sorel, died Sept. 3, 2003, and another son, Bernard L. Dupuis, died Aug. 5, 1961. Godbout of Lynn, a retired fire department district chief, real estate broker and veteran, died Wednesday at home after a lengthy illness. He was 78. A lifelong resident of Lynn, Mr. Godbout attended Lynn schools and graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1944. He also attended Dartmouth College. During World War II, he served as a Navy quartermaster on the USS Aldebaran in the Pacific. He worked for the Lynn Fire Department as district chief for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Godbout was a real estate broker and owned the former County Realty Co. in Lynn. He was co-founder and past president of the Lynn retirees association, past president of the Lynn firefighters credit union, a member of the firefighters relief association and a member of firefighters union Local 739. Mr. Godbout was a lifelong communicant of Sacred Heart Parish in West Lynn, where he was a member of the Vincent de Paul Society, the Tree of Life Pantry, an usher for many years and active in the Sacred Heart School Developmental Program. He was an honor life member of the Valladolid Council No. 70, Knights of Columbus in Lynn, where he had 44 years of service and was active in all their charities. He was also active in St. Mary's High School fund raising. He and his wife served as the first chairpersons for the Manhattan After Dark fund-raiser. He was a longtime member of Gannon Golf Course in Lynn. He was an avid golfer, skier and boater. Mr. Godbout is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita T. (Carmody); two sons, Lawrence C. Jr. and Robert J., both of Lynn; two daughters, Patricia A. Leslie of Salem and Mary Jean Duffy-Alexander of Lynn; an aunt, Bertha ``Bootsie'' Redmond of Lynn; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. JANDREAU, COLLIN E. of Mt. Plymouth, Florida passed away Monday April 11th. He suffered a fatal heart attack. He was 51 years old. Born in Fort Kent, Maine. Graduated from New Milford High school in New Milford, CT. He was a sub-contractor and owned WTH Construction Company with his father for 15 years. Collin was a devoted son, father, brother and friend. His family always came first. His passion was to always lend a helping hand and was very giving of his last dollar. FORT KENT - Delina Dubois, 86, beloved wife of the late Leo G. Dubois, died peacefully April 13, 2005, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born May 26, 1918, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Thomas and Marie (Fongemie) Michaud. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne, the Fort Kent Senior Citizens Club and a volunteer at the Good Shepard Shop. She is survived by her three sons, Elmer "Chou" Dubois and his wife, Cecilia, Omer Dubois and his wife, Rella, all of Fort Kent, Danny and his wife, Connie, of Dover, N.H.; five sisters, Emelda Dubois, Laura Pelletier and Verna Lozier, all of Fort Kent, Edwina Nadeau of Florida, Rosa Berube of Connecticut; one brother, Emile Michaud of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Marie Michaud; her husband, Leo G. Dubois in 1982; two brothers, Louis and Joseph Michaud and four sisters, Edna Raymond, Regina Roy, Leanna Heon and Lenora Pelletier. Born in Acushnet, Mass., she was the daughter of Louis J. and Bernice (Lucas) Ouellette of West Wareham, Mass. She resided in Port Charlotte 10 years. She graduated from Old Rochester Regional High School and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Rochester. She worked at the Talbot's distribution center and operated the Country Charm Flower Shop on Mendall Road in Rochester. She also was employed at Decas Cranberry and worked part time at Winn-Dixie in Florida. Survivors include her parents; two sons, Roland Martin III and Derek Martin, both of Rochester; her companion, Edward Cordova of Key West; three brothers, Charles Ouellette of Mattapoisett, and Brian Ouellette and Bruce Ouellette, both of Rochester; a sister, Linda Cabral of Port Charlotte; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louis A. Ouellette. Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, Mass. JUPITER, Fla. — Roland Shevenell, 89, of 133rd Drive North, formally of 94 Mount Vernon St. in Dover, died March 20, 2005, at his residence in Jupiter, Fla. He was born on Dec. 25, 1915, in Dover, N.H., the son of Henry I and Helena (Taeoret) Shevenell. He graduated from Dover High in 1933 and attended UNH, receiving a BA and master’s degree in 1940 at the University of Ottawa, Canada. He served our country in the RCAF before transferring to the U.S. Air Force in 1945-1946 and he attended B-17 School at Hendrick Field in Florida. He became a teacher of elementary education in Hollywood, Fla., where he worked from 1961 until he retired in 1977. He was a member of the American Legion in West Palm Beach.He is survived by his wife, Henriette (Nault) Shevenell of Jupiter; a son, Robert Shevenell of Hollywood, Fla.; four nephews, Tom Shevenell of Dover, Ray, Joe and Ed Shevenell of Portland, Maine; a niece, Julie (Shevenell) Barker of Sarasota, Fla.; and several cousins. VAN BUREN - Bertrand V. Sirois, 75, died April 13, 2005 at a Van Buren nursing home. He was born April 7, 1930, in Keegan, the son of Joseph P. and Catherine (Levasseur) Sirois. Bert worked as a painting contractor in Connecticut until 1966 when he relocated to Van Buren and was self-employed as a potato grower and shipper until his retirement. He was a member of the Maine Potato Growers and also served on the parish council and finance committee of St. Bruno-St. Remi Parish for a number of years. He was also a member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus in Wallingford, Conn. Bert is survived by his wife, Noella (Parent) Sirois of Van Buren; one daughter, Leah Marie Sirois of Bangor; one brother, Lionel Sirois of Van Buren; one sister, Velma Buck of Norwood, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five brothers, Zoel, Alva, Claude, James and Emilien, and by three sisters, Pauline Deschenes, Constance Cote and Annette LeBrun. Romeo J. Soucy, 86, of Manchester, died April 13, 2005, at Catholic Medical Center, after a period of declining health. He was born in Manchester, November 24, 1918, and was a son of Louis J. and Delina (Alie) Soucy. He was a lifelong resident of this city. Mr. Soucy was a member of the Manchester Fire Department from 1952 to 1977. For many years he organized a group of professional pallbearers that provided service to Manchester area funeral homes. He was a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5260 where he served as religious activities coordinator. He was also a 4th degree member with the Bishop Bradley Assembly. He was a member of the League of 1000 Men of the Precious Blood Monastery. In addition he was a communicant of St. Marie Church and a member of the Sacred Heart League of that parish. He was predeceased by his wife Lucille (Gagnon) Soucy in 1999, and by a son, Paul R. Soucy in 2000. Family members include 4 sons, Robert H. Soucy of Hudson, Jean A. Soucy, Armand R. Soucy, both of Manchester, and Gerald R. Soucy of Allenstown; 3 daughters, Doris C. Soucy, Rita Soucy and Denise Fanny all of Manchester; 26 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
