Armand Massé May 28, 1940 - February 23, 2005 Funeral arrangements by Fair Haven Funeral Home Armand Massé, 64, of Shediac, NB, passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, February 23, 2005. Born in Saint-Raphael D‘Alberville, Que. on May, 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Ernest and Corinne (Vallée) Massé. Armand was a devoted father and proud grandfather. He was a hard working man that many people respected and enjoyed, he will be missed by all. He is survived by his partner Yvonne Bourque, a son Luc (Shannon) Massé, daughter, Jenny (Hans-Dieter) Esser all of Shediac, grandchildren; Chad, Megan, Kyle, Lisa and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by six sisters; Marie-Ange Chrétien, Armoza LaMontagne, Lucienne Gauthier, Antoinette Landry, Angèle Tremblay, Jeanette Massé and one brother; George Massé. He was pre-deceased by two sisters; Marie-Blanche, Marie-Rose and two brothers; Ernest Massé and Antonio Massé. There will be no visitation by request of the family, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac, on Saturday, February 26 at 10:00 am followed by a reception at the golden age club on sackville street. AUBURN - Aurora Gauthier, 91, of Minot Avenue, died Feb. 19, at Clover Manor.She was born in Willimantic, Conn., Jan. 10, 1914, the daughter of Hector T. and Marie Rose Garceau Gauthier.She attended schools in Connecticut, and later graduated from Lewiston High School. She was employed at Knapp Shoe as a payroll clerk for many years, and was a member of St. Louis Church in Auburn. She also enjoyed reading.She is survived by a brother, Arthur Gauthier of Buckfield; and a niece, nephew, and a great-nephew.She was predeceased by a brother, Albert Gauthier; and a sister, Andrea Gauthier.

LEVOIR, Theodore Joseph - Age 75, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Mr. LeVoir was born March 19, 1929 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Walter T. and Irene (Potvin) LeVoir and had resided in the Flint area most if his life. He married Beverly Bill on February 14, 1948 and she preceded him in death on January 3, 1997. Mr. LeVoir enjoyed gardening, boating and fishing in his younger years. Née à Aldouane, elle était fille de feu Joseph LeBlanc et de feu Marie (Robichaud) LeBlanc. Elle laisse dans le deuil deux soeurs: Emerise Robichaud (feu John) d’Aldouane et Antoinette Beaudin (feu Victor) de Halifax, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. FOWLER, Sarah Ellen (nee Cleghorn), Ellen, in her 80th year, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 with her husband at her side. Her darling husband (John) was blessed to have shared his life with her for 58 years. Mom fou ght cancer and her many other illnesses to raise her children to adulthood and to witness the arrival of her six grandchildren. She is survived by her three children, Douglas (Kerstin), Ellen Ann and Lyle (Karen) Fowler; grandchildren Kyra, Deirdre, Clayton, Cassandra, Patrina and Lucas Fowler. Family members also include brother-in-law Bobby (Joy) Wynn, sister-in-law Joan (nee Fowler) Gare. Survived by her nieces and nephews, Peter Gare, June (nee Gare) Muir, Jill (nee Forrester) Fretz, David W ynn and Barbara Wynn-Jones. Mom enjoyed babysitting her special grandchildren Kelley, Kit and Kourt. Ellen was predeceased by her parents George and Mabel Cleghorn and her brother John Forrester. SOUTH HADLEY - N. Paul Beaupre, 80, of Hildreth Ave. South Hadley, died Monday, February 21, 2005 in Meadowood Nursing Home, South Hadley. Born August 12, 1924, son of the late Napolean P. and Alana (Eichstredt) Beaupre. He was educated in the Holyoke schools. He worked as an electrician for Nonotuck Manufacturing, and for Crocker and McElwin. Paul was a WWII Army veteran, serving in North Africa, India, Burma and Central Burma. While in the service he received the Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon. He was predeceased by his wife, Shirley (Peterson) Beaupre, in 1995. He is survived by his son, Paul K. Beaupre and his wife Joyce of Granby; his grandchildren, Justin P. Beaupre and his wife Jody of Waltham, and David M. Beaupre of Paris, France; also his niece Joyce Peetz of Chicopee; and his nephew, Bruce Marier of Woodstock, VT. The funeral will be held Thursday morning 10 a.m. at the Ryder Funeral Home followed with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, both in South Hadley. There are no calling hours. NEW BEDFORD -- Helen Lois (Bence) Beaulieu, 74, of New Bedford died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of William L. Beaulieu; they were married 41 years. Born in Dartmouth, the daughter of the late Inez (Provencier) and Frederick Bence, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. In her younger years, Mrs. Beaulieu enjoyed roller skating at Lincoln Park, singing with local harmonizing groups, dancing and traveling with her husband and the Goodyear Golden Agers. Besides spending time with her family, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and watching television game shows. Survivors include her widower; a son, Alan R. Morse, and his wife, Carol; two daughters, Karen A. Souza and her husband, Alfred, and Tina Hardman and her husband, Matthew; a very special sister, Inez Cookman; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Terry E. Morse, and the sister of the late Lois Sherman, Edith Desmarais, Mabel McCra, Una Bence, William Clinton Bence, Frederick Bence, Earl Bence, Raymond Bence, Roy Bence and Melvin Bence. She was cremated. Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church in Fairhaven.

Mabel Louise Noel, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, at the Lutheran Home. She was born Feb. 7, 1925, in Hermondale, Mo., daughter of Charles Albert and Lula Myrtul Parish Bingham. She and Ernest J. Noel were married July 19, 1940, at Caruthersville, Mo. He died Oct. 28, 2000. Noel had lived in Cape Girardeau since 1958. Survivors include three sons, Larry Noel of Cape Girardeau, James Noel of Jackson, Roger Noel of Scott City; two daughters, Betty Stickel and Ernestine Swader of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Hazel Churchhill of Bardwell, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a brother, four sisters, five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Hector Blanchette -- Visitation for Hector R. Blanchette, 86, of Bourbonnais, will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a 7 p.m. service by the Kankakee Masonic Lodge 389, at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Deselm Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Shriners' Children's Hospital. He died Friday (Feb. 18, 2005) in the emergency room at Riverside Medical Center, Kankakee. Mr. Blanchette was a retired journeyman lineman for IBEWs Local 9. He was born Nov. 11, 1918, in Deselm, the son of Hector and Mabel Shear Blanchette. Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Hoskins, whom he married Oct. 17, 1945, in East St. Louis; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Cindy Blanchette of Bourbonnais, Len Blanchette of Bozeman, Mont., Bryan Blanchette of Bonfield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Gary Gerschke of Wisconsin, Sherry and Michael Mulligan of Bozeman, Mont.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and special niece, Judy Welch of Bradley. Mr. Blanchette was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and feeding his birds and squirrels. He was an avid Bears fan.

RAFAELITA " Tita" BROUSSARD, 73, of Beaumont died February 21, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A native of Inez, Texas and a resident of the area for most of her life. She worked as a manager for El Campesino Restaurant in Winnie. Rafaelita will always be remembered for her cooking, how she enjoyed fishing, crabbing and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rayford Broussard. Survivors include her son, Robert A. Broussard and his wife Emelda of Beaumont; daughters, Elda Gaudet and her husband Wayne of Beaumont and Sylvia Ann Huff and her husband Mike of Owens, Alabama; grandchildren, Robert A. Broussard, Jr. and his wife Amy, Lisa Renee Feldman and her husband David, Jessica Gaudet, Dustin Gaudet, Christopher Huff and his wife Rebecca, Charles Huff , Cheryl Huff and four great grandchildren. Granger, Lillian "Mae" A retired Iberville Parish School Board food-services employee at Iberville Elementary and Gay School in Plaquemine, she died Monday, Feb. 21, 2005. She was 81, a resident of Plaquemine and a native of Grosse Tete. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, Wednesday, Feb. 23, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 24, after 8 a.m. Religious service at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Carmen E. Collard -- April 28, 1927 -- February 20, 2005 -- NORWICH -Daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Fournier) Collard, Carmen was born in Norwich on April 28, 1927 and died in Norwich, CT on February 20, 2005.Carmen began her life career entering a convent in pursuit of sisterhood. She left the nunnery and moved on to join the Women's Armed Forces, and then worked at the Mansfield Training Center. She later joined her father in the family business, Collard's Barber Shop of Jewett City, taking over after his retirement until she closed the shop in 1978. She returned to the Mansfield Training Center as a barber, where she retired from State service in 1991. Throughout her life she was devoted to personal and spiritual growth and a member of SRF.She is survived by one sister, Enez Cohen of Jewett City, and predeceased by another sister, Lorraine Mager. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Donna M. Siluk, Ph.D., Paul Mager, Tina White, Tami & Glen Pothier, and Ron Mager all of Griswold, Gary & Kathy Mager of Plainfield, Paula Mager of Norwich, Holly Thomas of Killingly, Michelle & Bill Hauenstein of New Jersey and Rich Mager of North Carolina; as well as twentyone greatneices and greatnephews.In lieu of flowers, please send your loving thoughts and prayers for her transition. CORINNA - Terrance (Terry) Malcolm Coulombe, 56, died suddenly in his sleep Feb. 20, 2005. He was born July 29, 1948, in Plattsburgh, N.Y. and attended Saint Mary's Academy in Champlain, N.Y. Terry was the beloved third son of Viola (Martin) and Ivan Coulombe, both of whom have already passed away. He leaves behind his sister, Laura Mae (Coulombe) Laporte and her husband, Leo, of Peru, N.Y.; his brothers, Michael Coulombe and his wife, Marge of Clifton Springs, N.Y., Ronald Coulombe and his wife, Judy, of Sodus, N.Y., Donald and his wife, Desiree Coulombe of Tolleson, Ariz. and Daniel and his wife, Debbie Coulombe, of West Chazy, N.Y. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was best remembered as a war hero. He served in the Marines in Vietnam from 1966 to 1969 and was awarded a Purple Heart with three clusters, a Service Medal, a Sharp Shooter Badge, and a National Defense Medal for his time there. Terry was an interior and exterior house painter. He was an avid gardener and was especially fond of his roses and asparagus. He was the former husband of Mary E. Zola-Minnery and beloved father to Terri Lynn (Coulombe) Jay and her husband, Gregory, of South Hadley, Mass., and to Jennifer Erin (Coulombe) Lutterloh and her husband, Robert, of Newport News, Va. He was the loving husband to Donna (Rohan) Coulombe and father to Kelly James Coulombe of Palmyra and his wife, Celeste and father of Travis Jon Coulombe and his "future" wife, Kristen Irish, of Dexter. He was the proud grandfather to Joeseph Anthony Kastrinakis of Massachusetts, Lindsay Marie Lutterloh of Virginia, Dimitri John Kastrinakis of Massachusetts and Maya Grace Coulombe of Maine. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna. Following the wake, the family will gather at The Watering Hole in Dexter. AUGUSTA, ME--Norman J. Flamand, 82, formally of 502 Sweden St. Berlin, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday February 21, 2005, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta, Maine, where he had been a resident for one and a half years. He fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born on July 22, 1922 in Berlin, NH, Mr. Flamand was the son of Samuel and Lena (Pearson) Flamand. Mr. Flamand was a proud World War II Veteran of the United States Army. He retired in 1984, having worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. He was a member of St Anne Church of Good Shepard Parish, a member of VFW Post 2520, past president and officer of the Berlin Battery F. Association and for many years was in charge of Civil Service Exams for the United States Postal Service of NH. He enjoyed many summers at Cedar Pond. Mr. Flamand was predeceased by his wife, Eva (Belanger) Flamand, who passed away on August 29, 2002. He had devotedly cared for her in their home for four years prior to her admission to St. Vincent’s in her battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He is survived by one son, Marc N. Flamand and his wife Gail of Manchester, NH; one daughter; Monique L. Fiola and her husband Dr. Thomas Fiola of Sidney, ME; two granddaughters, Lauren A. Fiola of Sidney, ME, and Hamilton, NY, and Gabielle R. Flamand of Manchester, NH; one niece; three nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank the staff of the Maine Veterans’ Home in Augusta, ME, for their outstanding care, kindness and devotion to Mr. Flamand.
