Jacquelyn M. Girouard, 60, died Sunday, (February 20, 2005), at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Formerly of Manchester Jacquelyn is survived by her mother Josephine M. Brown of East Hartford; her brothers, Ronald F. Girouard of Opelika, AL, and her brother, William Brown of East Hartford. "We love you and will miss you." SOMERSWORTH — Theodore Amedee Labrie, 77, of Somersworth, died Saturday morning, Feb. 19, 2005, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.He was born in Manchester on July 31, 1927, son of Amedee and Elumina (Letendre) Labrie. After high school, he served in the Army as an intercept operator and sharpshooting instructor. He was a graduate of the Wentworth Institute in Boston, Mass., Class of 1949. While raising a family and working full time at General Electric in Somersworth, he earned his bachelor of science de-gree in electrical engineering from the University of New Hampshire in Durham in 1967.He was a communicant of St. Martin Catholic Church, where as a younger adult, had spent more than 20 years teaching CCD. He was a good man who was always ready to help anyone and he practiced random acts of kindness well before it became popular. He enjoyed traveling and working on his house. He loved to walk the family dog and chat with neighbors and the other dog walkers in the neighborhood.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rita (Lavoie) Labrie; his two daughters, Arlene Labrie and her husband, James Welsby, of Somersworth, Monica Labrie and her husband, Frederick Hunt Jr., of Rochester; his brother, Leonard Labrie of Manchester and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by a sister, Arline Labrie.Calling hours at Bernier Funeral Home, 49 South St., Somersworth, will be on Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Martin Catholic Church, West High and Maple Streets. EAST FALMOUTH - Juliette Lucienne (Lafond) Newton, 91, died yesterday at JML Care Center in Falmouth. She was the wife for 49 years of Joseph Newton, who died in 1986. Mrs. Newton was born and raised in New Bedford. She graduated from St. Anthony's School and later worked as a weaver in the city mills. A homemaker and an accomplished seamstress, she moved with her husband to Falmouth in 1964. She worked in retail and continued sewing, knitting and doing other crafts. Mrs. Newton was an avid sports fan. She enjoyed baseball - especially the Boston Red Sox - figure skating and golf. Her greatest love was caring for her children. Surviving are her daughters Marlene Viera and Phyllis Newton, both of East Falmouth; a brother, Armand Lafond of New Bedford; two granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 584 West Falmouth Highway (Route 28A), West Falmouth. The funeral is 8:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church, 167 East Falmouth Highway (Route 28), East Falmouth. BALUCH, M. DORIS, 82, of Old River Rd., died Monday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Stephen Baluch. Born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late Adrien and Emilia (Bolduc) Laprade. She lived in Lincoln since 1955. She worked in the advertising department at A. T. Cross for ten years retiring in 1985.She served in the WAVES during WWII. She was also a den mother for the Cub Scouts. She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, Albion.Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Susan M. Karagozian of Lincoln; four sons, Dennis S. Baluch of Lincoln, William M. Baluch of Bellevue, Washington, Paul P. Baluch of Swansea, Ma. and Jeffrey A. Baluch of Cranston; two sisters, Edna Sleczkowski of Florida and Lillian Jones of Lincoln; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. LAURIN, LILLIAN RUSH Lillian was born October 4, 1913 in Portland and died peacefully February 8, 2005. She attended Franklin High School and later married Leo E. Laurin who preceded her in death in 1974. Affectionately known as "the Rush girls," Lillian was the youngest of five sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Marianne and husband Gary Rothenberger; sons, Jim and wife Alynn Laurin of California; Steve Laurin of New Hampshire; grandchildren, Kari and husband, Jim Lyons; Kristin and husband Tom Meagher, Chip and wife Noon Rothenberger; and five great-grandchildren. William “Bill” R. Roux, 61, of Manchester died suddenly at home on February 16, 2005.Mr. Roux was born on February 2, 1944 in Manchester, NH the son of the late Charles and Mary (Villemaire) Roux. He had worked at Sylvania for 34 years and retired in 2003. He was a dedicated husband and father. He enjoyed spending time with his children and had volunteered as a Boy Scout leader for his son’s troop. In the 1960’s, Bill played the base for a band, the “Fantasmics.” They played venues at local colleges and even cut a record. Family members include; his wife of 34 years, Anne Louise (Martineau) Roux; his daughter, Erica Roux of Manchester; two children from his previous marriage, Jeff Girard of Berlin, NH and Kimberly Bouchard of Goffstown; two grandchildren; five sisters, Dolores Blanchard of Manchester, Roberta Gadefiery of Manchester, Patty Carter of Manchester, Rita Mynahan of Merit Island, Florida and Doris Degin of Gouderneau, New York; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Roux was predeceased by his son, Richard “Dicky” W. Roux who died in 1988. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Roux and Paul Gregoire and by one sister, Florence Geroux. In his life: Mr. Roux cherished his two grandsons, Matthew and Nathan Roux of Manchester. He also leaves behind two aunts, Lorraine Villemaire of Groveton, NH and Betty Knot of Littleton.Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM with a Candlelight Service at 8:30 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 243 Hanover Street in Manchester. DRACUT -- Lucien "Sonny" T. Villandry, 74, a resident of Dracut and a former resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Sunday, Feb. 20, at his home. He was the husband of Rita (Saucier) Villandry.He was born in Lowell on Oct. 8, 1930, son of the late Theodore R. and Aurore M. (Veillette) Villandry.Before his retirement, Mr. Villandry had been employed as a foreman by the former Fr. John's Medicine, and more recently with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a building manager at the UMass Lowell South Campus.He was a member of the YMCA and the Salvation Army Golden Era Program. He was an avid bowler for more than 30 years, and enjoyed NASCAR racing and football. He was involved with the Lowell Triple B Softball League, especially the team named the Maniacs of which his son is a member.Besides his wife, his survivors include a son, Theodore "Ted" G. Villandry and his fiancée, Heidi Wojtowicz of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra J. and Daniel J. Williams of Sanford, Maine; four grandchildren, Ryan Williams of Sanford, Maine, Tiffany Dean of Dracut, Ryan Dean of Sanford, Maine, and Christopher Wojtowicz of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Walter Fitzpatrick of Long Island, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Rita Fitzpatrick. Auger, Maurice LA FAMILLE AUGER a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de M. MAURICE AUGER décédé le 18 février 2005 à l'âge de 86 ans. Il était le fils de feu Jean Baptiste Auger et de feu Alice Majeau et l'époux bien-aimé d'Honoria Tremblay. Il laisse dans le deuil ses 2 fils: Gilles (Diane Galarneau) et Michel (Diane Gilbert); ses petits-enfants: Martin, Simon et Annie; ses 2 belles-soeurs: Roberte Couroux et Georgette Tremblay ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il fut prédécédé par ses 2 petits-fils: Stéphane et Jimmy. Après l'obtention de trois brevets d'enseignement, la poursuite des études à temps partiel se fit aux universités de Montréal, d'Ottawa et à l'Institut catholique de Paris. Durant 15 années, au service des Commissions scolaires des environs de Hull, soit comme titulaire de classes ou de directeur d'écoles, il fut nommé inspecteur des écoles dans les comtés de Papineau et de Gatineau. Durant les années 1960-68, il occupa un poste cadre au Département de l'instruction publique et après la création du Ministère de l'Éducation, il occupa le poste de la division des devis pédagogiques pour la construction et l'aménagement des écoles secondaires polyvalentes au Québec. Durant les huit dernières années de carrière, il fut directeur général de la Commission scolaire régionale de Yamaska. À Hull, il occupa le poste de Fidèle-Navigateur de l'Assemblée Alexandre-Vachon, directeur des chorales de St-Raymond et de Ste-Bernadette et président des Retraité(e)s de l'enseignement de la région 07, de l'Outaouais. Plusieurs primes de succès et médailles soulignèrent sa contribution dans les domaines de l'enseignement et de l'administration scolaire. Il n'y aura pas de visites au salon, cependant un service religieux en présence des cendres sera célébré le mercredi 23 février 2005 à 11h, en l'église Notre-Dame-de-la-Guadeloupe, 30 de la Guadeloupe, secteur Hull; suivi de l'inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame, secteur Hull. La famille recevra les condoléances à l'église à compter de 10h30. La famille tient à remercier le Dr Doucet, le personnel de gérontologie ainsi que le personnel de longue durée du CHVO de Hull. Born in Curryville on May 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Vera (Layton) Parker. Vaughn retired as a boiler maker with the C.N.R. following 36 years of service. Née le 30 septembre 1901, elle était fille de feu Prudent Haché et de feu Emilie Robichaud. Elle laisse dans le deuil sept filles: Cécile (feu Arthur Légère), Anna, Emilia et Patricia (avec qui elle demeurait), toutes de Rivière-du-Portage, Yvonne (feu Joseph Poirier) de Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Marthe (feu Charley McGraw) de Saint-Jean et Thérèse (Mathias Gagnon) de Sept-Îles; un fils, Allard (Thérèse) de Brantville; trois fils adoptifs: Ronnie (Diane) de Fredericton, Egbert (Nicole) de Moncton et Étienne de Montréal; un gendre, Pierre Gagnon (Fernande) de Rivière-du-Portage, ainsi que 26 petits-enfants, 40 arrière-petits-enfants, huit arrière-arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs neveux et nièces. LEFEBVRE, Arthur "Art" It is with great sadness that the loving family of Art announce his peaceful passing with his loving wife and family by his side on February 20, 2005 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at 84 years of age. Art was born in L'Orignal, Ontario son of the late Cheri and Georgina Lefebvre. Cherished husband and best friend of Beatrice (Bea) (nee Prud'homme), with whom he celebrated 55 years of marriage. Loving dad of Pauline and husband Jim Hinton of Toronto, Mark and wife Susan Lefebvre of Toronto, Annette and husband Sheldon Magder of Westmount Quebec, Maurice and wife Lynda Lefebvre of Belmont, Ontario. Cherished grandfather and "Pepe" of Jean-Paul, Marc-Alan and Danielle Lefebvre, David and Michael Lefebvre and Alexander Magder. Dear brother of Claire Lefebvre of Ste. Therese, Quebec. Predeceased by sisters, brothers and their spouses Alida and husband Oscar Menard, Jehovah Lefebvre, Leonidas Lefebvre, Armoza Lachapelle and husband Noel, Angea Lefebvre, Cloistered Nun of the Convent of Precious Blood (Sister Marie Joseph), Armande wife of Jean-Baptiste Henri, Rosario Lefebvre, Rose Aimee wife of Arthur Myre, Jeanne Leroux wife of Lorenzo, Sylvio Leone Paul Lefebvre, Laurentia wife of Wilfred Menard and Paul Lefebvre. Predeceased by two infant siblings. Dear brother-in-law of Regina, Yvette and Aurore Lefebvre. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins. Art will be fondly remembered by Pauline Groulx. Art was the last surviving charter and founding member of local Union 700. He was a member of Club 55 Golf, the Art Ziraldo Euchre Card Club and a Cribbage League. Art worked for 27 years at Canadian Bridge Company and 14 years at Canadian Machinery Movers. Art retired at the age of 65 years after many years of dedicated service. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in the Virginia Park neighbourhood. If you so desire, donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
