Predeceased by her sister Evelyn and brother Tom (Nancy). Major, Gilberte (née Bergeron) - Est décédée le mercredi 2 février 2005 à l’âge de 92 ans. Fille de feu Joseph Charbonneau et de feu Joséphine Meunier, avant-dernière d’une famille de dix enfants, tous décédés, elle laisse dans le deuil son époux bien-aimé Florent Major, ses deux fils: François (Huguette Biage-Major) de Brossard et Hubert (Marguerite Jackson) de Gatineau, ses six petits-enfants: Philippe, Étienne, Antoine, Julie, Simon et Colette ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces et amis. Il n’y aura pas de visites au salon funéraire. Un service religieux en présence des cendres sera célébré le samedi 5 février 2005 à 12 h en l’église Sacré-Coeur, 591 rue Cumberland (angle Laurier et Cumberland) à Ottawa. La famille accueillera parents et amis à l’église à compter de 11 h 15. L’inhumation aura lieu au printemps. Beloved husband of Yvonne (LeBlanc) Beauchamp (predeceased 2002). Loving father of Madelen (husband William McCoy) of Manitoulin Island, Carmen (husband Larry Young) of Sudbury, Vivian (husband Dave Chalut) of Naughton, and Phillip (of Sturgeon Falls). Special father-in-law of Lee Ann (of Naughton). Cherished "Popa" of Mellissa, Lori, Tamara, Jeremy, Phillip Jr., Ricky and Bobbie Lee. Proud "Old Popa" of Tessa, Meaghen, and Mathieu. Loving son of Joseph and Rosalma (St. Jean) Beauchamp (both predeceased). Dear brother of Alphe Beauchamp and Marilda Gauthier. Predeceased by sister Clara Bertrand, and brothers Tom, John and Lionel. Edgar had been employed by INCO as a Shiftboss and Foreman, retiring in 1979 after 37 years of service. He enjoyed playing cribbage and fishing, hunting and gardening. Edgar loved to entertain his family and friends by singing and playing his harmonica. He had a positive outlook on life, especially when it came to his family. His philosophy for living could be summarized by his favourite saying "Pas Probleme". Edgar's birthday wish was granted as he is once again with his bride of 53 years, his wife and best friend Yvonne. His greatest joys in life were his wife, his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With his death a "Legend" will be missed. Giuseppe was born in Santa Crestina, Treviso, Italy on November 21, 1929. On February 11, 1956 he married Rina (Modolo). He proudly served 6 years as a Carabiniere prior to moving to Canada in 1972. Beloved husband of Rina (Modolo) Durigon of Sudbury. Loving father of Mario Durigon (Sandra) of Mississauga. Predeceased by his parents Emilio and Maria (Zago) Durigon. Dearly missed brother of Gino Durigon (Marion) of Sudbury, Dorina (husband Emilio deceased), Amelia (husband Alessandro deceased), Bertilla (husband Aldo deceased), and Antonietta (husband Gino) all of Italy. Giuseppe will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Claudio, Emilio, Paul, Dino, Laura, Mirella, Luigino, Silvano, Lino, Doriana, Luciano and their families. JAGIELLO, Stanley - In loving memory of Stanley Jagiello, August 19th, 1926 - February 12th, 2005. After a two decade long battle with cancer, Stanley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family at the age of 78. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Stanislawa and daughters Margo (Gary) of Timmins and Halina (Sam) of Toronto, sister Marysia Sobczak (Stefan) of Philadelphia as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Jakub and Anna and brother Jozef. Stanley emigrated to Canada in 1948 after being recruited by the US Army to serve as a court guard during the Nazi War trials in Dachau, Germany. He worked in Toronto and Pickle Crow before settling in Sudbury to work for INCO for 36 years. Stanley was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman but his true passions were his beloved dogs and his hobby farm in Timmins. He leaves us with a legacy of perseverance and hope. The family wishes to thank Dr. Cano, Dr. Want, Audrey Oliver, Herman Reich, Kathy Donnelly and Betty-Anne and the Staff at Bayshore and the Red Cross for the nurturing care they provided to Stanley and his family. PERRY, Edna (Armstrong) - In loving memory of Edna Perry, 90 years, who passed away Thursday, February 10, 2005 at the Extendicare York. Beloved wife of George Edward "Ted" Perry predeceased 1959. Predeceased by her parents Hec and Mary Armstrong and nephew Gary Allard. Sadly missed by family and friends. Edna will be remembered as a caring and loving person. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Knox Presbyterian Church, where she actively participated in the church's ministries. Edna lived her faith daily and over the years gave service as a church elder, Sunday School teacher, with the service and choir club and she enjoyed many years as the leader of the C.G.I.T. At Edna's request there will be no public visitation. La Célébration Eucharistique a eu lieu lundi le 21 février, 2005 en l'église Nativité de Marie, Moonbeam avec le Père Jean-Guy Mailloux comme célébrant. L'incinération a suivit au crématoire Hillcrest, Matheson. Comme expressions de sympathies les dons à la Fondation des enfants du corridor du nord seraient grandement appréciés.  Ghislain Dubosq, 9 Lynford Avenue, Hamilton, died at Hamilton General Hospital on Feb. 16, 2005. He was 36 years old. Mr. Dubosq was born on Feb. 29, 1968 in Quebec. He worked at Unified Engineering. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars. Mr. Dubosq is survived by his mother Eva Daoust of Kapuskasing, his father Urgel of Hamilton; brothers Raymond (Brenda) of Hamilton and Louis (Mona) of Kap; and sisters Johanne (Charlie Oliver) of Val Rita Roséanne (Luc) Pelchat of Moonbeam and Lucie Lozier of Bourget. BIELECKI, Bronislaw "Bruno" - In loving memory of Bronislaw "Bruno" Bielecki. It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of Bronislaw (Bruno) Bielecki. Bruno passed away peacefully in his home in his 88th year, surrounded by the love of his family. He is predeceased by his wife Helena, brothers Edward and Caisimir and sister Helena. Born in Huta Chodecz, Poland in 1916, Bruno served in the Polish and British armies during the Second World War and came to Canada in 1952. CARTER, Huena Frances (nee MacIsaac) - In loving memory of Huena Frances Carter (nee MacIsaac), 88 years, who passed away Monday morning, February 14th, 2005 at her residence, Sudbury. She worked for many years at St. Joseph and Memorial Hospitals and was an active member of St. Clement's Parish. Huena loved parties and God. Many evenings when her children were growing up, she'd have everybody on their knees saying the rosary, and sometimes, even the non-Catholic neighbourhood kids would wind up getting involved. "Probably do them some good", she'd say. For more than 60 years, her Eyre Street home was alive with laughter and music. The Carters also operated Laurentian Transit and Local Lines and Levack Bus Lines and many's the working man from out of town who found himself staying at the Carter's house after arriving from somewhere else in Canada looking for a job. Everybody knew they could count on Huena. Her reputation for unbridled hospitality - she'd cook whatever anybody wanted - was known from Newfoundland to British Columbia. Late one night back in 1974, just after the family finished celebrating Tom Sr.'s birthday, a family of black bears dropped into the house in the middle of the night by surprise. Huena instilled in her children a love of reading, conversation, religion and her humour was infectious. Her living room looked like a museum of family life, cluttered as it was with generations of photographs, gifts and gadgets. No matter which member of the extended family came to visit, Huena was always sure to have their photos in prominent spots, so everyone all knew they held an important place in her heart. She loved to knit socks and mittens and last year, she gave each of her grandchildren lovely personalized rings. After a great and fruitful life she will join her mom and dad, her brothers and sisters, her husband Tom and children. Huena Frances MacIsaac was born in Inverness, Cape Breton in 1916. Daughter of Annie and Angus B. MacIsaac and sister to Angus, Peggy Stellarton, Hugh, Gussie, Lillian, Bertholde and Alex deceased, and survived by her precious sister Kaye (Catherine MacDonald). In 1937, she followed her brothers to Sudbury and studied nursing at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing from which she graduated as an RN. Some of the friendships she made there, she maintained until her final days. While studying nursing, she met Tom Carter and they eloped and married in May 1942, in the Pro Cathedral in North Bay. Their first born Patrick (deceased) came along the following March. He was followed by Bertholde, Tom (wife Judy), Mary Hughena, Norma (husband Dr. Paul Fairman), Charlene (husband Alan MacNevin), Mary Leona deceased, Alexander (wife Brenda), James Edward and Peter Francis (wife Helena). Huena doted on every one of her grandchildren - Patty Lou (Sr. Pat, csj), Tom, Bridget, Anne Marie (deceased), Donald, Norma Charlene, Jennifer, Hughie, Alan, Jesse, Golly, Peter, Paul, Michael, Alexander, Ewa Frances, Ria and Mickey, and she loved her great grandchildren; Diana Piche, and all her many friends, relatives and neighbours. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Elsie will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who took great interest & pride in her family's activities and accomplishments. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Huguette Arbour (late Edmond), Jacqueline St. George (late Viateur) and Berthe Plante (late Fernand). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Riley, Marnie, Steven, Jeffrey, Kramer, Kassidy, Gavan and Jasmine. Marcel will be sadly missed by family and friends, and always remembered as a caring and loving father, grandfather and friend. Marcel married his dear wife, Angelina, in 1958 and he was retired from Inco after 30 years of service. Mr. Rousseau was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 9049, Verner. SIGNORETTI, Lena - In her ninety-first year, Lena passed away on February 13th, 2005. She was a resident of Extendicare York since July 2001. She was born on August 2, 1913 to Joseph & Teresa Damiani of Creighton Mine (both predeceased). She married Guido (Boogey) Signoretti in 1935 (predeceased in 1994). They made their home in Gatchell. She enjoyed gatherings both with family and friends in which she displayed her excellent culinary skills. Her vegetable and flower gardens thrived by her caring hands. Her favorite flower was the sweet pea. Lena worked at Gamble Robinson in her early years of marriage. In later years she worked part-time at Ceppetelli's Neighborhood Grocery store. Lena is survived by her daughters Dorothy Jaworski (husband John) of Sudbury, Valerie Allison (husband Rodney) of Sudbury, Linda Savard (husband Gerald) of Ottawa, and grandchildren Paul (wife Tiffany) of Toronto, Jodie and Jessie of Sudbury, and Sylvie of Ottawa. Dear sister of Art Fievoli predeceased. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., Sudbury. Germaine Campeau , of Hearst - Date of Death: January 27th, 2005 , died at Notre Dame Hospital on Jan. 27, 2005. She was 86 years old. Ms Campeau was born on Jan. 3, 1919 in Bing Inlet and moved to the area in 1921. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, and baking bread and desserts. Ms Campeau was predeceased by her husband René, son Real, three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by children Raoul (Yvonne) of Bancroft, Gérard (Colette) of Timmins, Cécile (Jean) Gagnon of Strathroy, Michelle (Don) Bosley of Gore Bay and Nellie (Hervé) Levesque, Jean-Paul (Françoise), Joseph (Solange) and Diane (Rheal) Lacelle, all of Hearst. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. Fr. Gerald Chalifoux directed the funeral at the Cathedrale. Ms Campeau will be interred at Sts Martyrs Canadiens in Jogues. Donations may be made to the Foyer des Pionniers. Funeral director was the Lafrance Funeral Home.

AGAWAM- Antonio "Tony" J. Caplette, 86, passed away on Thursday February 17, 2005 at Redstone Rehabilitation & Nursing Home in East Long-meadow. Born in Southbridge, MA on February 5, 1919 the son of the late Napoleon and Elmira (Duclos) Caplette. Tony was a U.S. Army WWII veteran attaining the rank of Tec 5. He retired from Hamilton Standard in 1981 after 24-years of service, and had worked prior at Perkins Machine and Gear in West Springfield. Tony was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Agawam, a member of the Chicopee VFW, Chicopee Moose Lodge, and the Agawam Senior Center. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Isabelle (MacDougal) Caplette, two sons, Edward and his wife Peggy of Hampden, James and his wife Lorraine of Three Rivers, a daughter, Dianne Dexter and her husband Bruce of Clarkston, MI, a sister, Annette Scagliarini of Agawam, eight grandchildren, three-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will gather on Tuesday February 22nd at 8 a.m. from the Colonial-Forastiere Funeral Home, 985 Main St., with a liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 823 Main St., with burial to follow in Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., all in Agawam. LEWISTON - Lynda Rita Caron Berube, 47, of Auburn, quietly went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 17, at CMMC surrounded by her family, friends, and her love for music.She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 27, 1957, the daughter of Delores Ginn of Auburn and the late Raymond Caron. She graduated from Bucksport High School and graduated from college with a business degree.She married Louis Berube July 14, 1983 in Lewiston, and resided in Maine most of her life.She was a very talented musician and loved playing gospel and bluegrass music. She also loved the tranquility of the ocean. She had many diverse interests in the working world and especially loved working with young autistic children.She was politically active, frequently volunteering her time and, she played a significant role in the founding of the Presidential Prayer Team. She also attended Greene Baptist Church and loved fellowshipping with other Christians.She is survived by her husband, Louis; her five children, Faith, Aaron, Benjamin, Hannah, and Ariel; her mother, Delores Ginn all of Auburn; six brothers, Richard Ginn of Bucksport, Kendrick Caron of Boston, Michael Caron of Cundy's Harbor, Wayne, Raymond and Scott Caron all of Harpswell; her five sisters, Nancy of Kentucky, Debra of Tennessee, Louise of Waterville, and Susan of Florida, and Theresa Toothaker of West Paris.
