Anna (Fitzpatrick) Ouellette, 85, of Windsor Locks, beloved wife of 63 years of Raymond "Frenchy" Ouellette, entered eternal rest on Friday, (February 18, 2005). Anna was born in Windsor Locks, daughter of James D. and Mary (Uhl) Fitzpatrick and was a life long resident of Windsor Locks where she had been employed in the Town Clerks Office and the School Cafeteria System. She was a member of the Windsor Locks Fire Department Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens Club. A loving wife of 63 years to Frenchy, and a loving mother, she delighted being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Elaine Mancino and her husband, Anthony Jr. of Windsor Locks; and Corinne Burger and her husband, Joseph of Windsor; nine grandchildren, Lisa Quagliaroli and her husband, Donald, Candi Motuzick and her husband, Craig, Gail Moran, Kim Twitchell and her fiancee, Chris Tower, Alitia Normandin and her fiancee, Scott Theodore, Karen Bona and her husband, Jimmy, Christine Mancino, Teresa Parent and her husband, Aaron, and Anthony Mancino, III and his wife, Sue; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a lifelong friend, Anna Camiros. Anna was predeceased by two brothers, William Fitzpatrick and John F. Fitzpatrick and a sister, Helen Patti. Relatives and friends will gather Monday at 9:15 a.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks with a procession to St. Mary Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Her family will receive friends TODAY from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Olive Leclair (1908-2005) de Miramichi, le vendredi 18 février 2005, à l’âge de 96 ans et 11 mois, est décédée Olive Leclair, épouse de feu Alyre Leclair, domiciliée à Lavillette. Née le 23 mars 1908, elle était fille de feu Maurice Benoit et de feu Emilie Vautour. Elle laisse dan s le deuil trois filles: Alphonsine Sonier et Yvonne (Théodore Godin), toutes deux de Lavillette et Françoise (feu Irvin Savoie) d’Allainville; une fille adoptive, Yvette (Alphonse Hébert) de Lavillette; deux fils: Ronald (Irma) avec qui elle demeurait et Jeffrey (Léontine), tous deux de Lavillette; un gendre, Angélus Desroches de Saint-Jean; trois filleuls: Jean-Claude, Yvon et Marie-Josée; une belle-soeur, Eugénie (feu Damien Leclair) de Lavillette, ainsi que 37 petits-enfants, 74 arrière-petits-enfants et plusieurs arrière-arrière-petits-enfants, neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Cinq enfants: Maurice (1964), Emilia (1970), Judith (2002) et deux en bas âge; cinq petits-enfants; trois soeurs: Exilda (feu Elizé Basque), Régina (feu Louis Robichaud) et Arthémise (feu Tranquille Leclair), l’ont précédée dans la tombe. Mme Leclair était la dernière personne vivante de sa famille immédiate. La dépouille mortelle sera exposée à compter de 19h, le samedi 19 février, à la Maison Robichaud, 50, rue Otho à Néguac.

LEACOCK Mr. Stephen 1957 - 2005 Unexpectedly on Sunday February 13th, 2005 at his South Porcupine residence, in his 48th year. Beloved step-father to Abbey Roy. Stephen was predeceased by his parents Mona (née Hodgins) in Jan. 1985 and Leo Leacock in December of 1983. Stephen was born in Timmins and was a lifetime resident of the Porcupine Camp. Claire Sebestyen With love we commemorate the passing of Claire Sebestyen ( nee Laprairie) of Smooth Rock Falls, who past away peacefully on Wednesday February 16, 2005 in her 72th year after a brief illness. Claire was the beloved and devoted wife of Tibor with whom she enjoyed 37 years of marriage. She is treasured and will be sadly missed by her son Michael, daughter in-law Brigitte, grandsons Austin and Dylan all of Burlington and son Paul of Ottawa. Dear sister of Martin Laprairie (Cecile) of Timmins, Rene Laprairie (Edna) of Sydney B.C. and the late Arnel (Jean), Sister Muriel and Andrew (Pauline). Claire has touched the lives and will be fondly remembered by many relatives, friends and colleagues. Claire was born in Timmins, Ontario and attended the University of Ottawa where she graduated in 1955 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Health. Claire returned to Timmins to work with the Porcupine Health Unit where she spent 32 years as a dedicated public health professional, as a public health nurse and a manager for the Unit. She continued her career with the Porcupine Health Unit as a public health nurse when she moved to Smooth Rock Falls in 1968. Although she retired in 1993, Claire continued to be active in her community. The family would welcome donations, in Claire’s memory, to the Canadian Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held on Monday February 21, 2005 at the Ste Gertrude Church in Smooth Rock Falls at 10:30 a.m. with Father Leo Papineau officiating. Hilda Evelyn Andrews Hilda Evelyn Andrews of Sydenham, passed away at Kingston General Hospital on November 6, 2004 at the age of 79 years, following a 3 month illness. Hilda was the eldest daughter of the late Fred and Jessie York. Hilda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Hales Albert Andrews, also by her daughter, Ruth Hay - Toronto, son Douglas (Margaret) - Harrowsmith, son Wayne (Karen) - Sydenham, daughter Belva Brawley (Wayne) - Sydenham, son Allan - Napanee, 11 grandchildren and 7 gr eat grandchildren, sisters Mildred York and Fern Tucker, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Helen Maxwell, Freda Buiting and Edith Locey. Hilda retired from Lenadco Home for the Aged in 1990. She remained active, tending to her many f lower gardens, cooking, crocheting and listening to country music. She attended Grace United Church in Sydenham. Her funeral was conducted by Reverend Nancy Clarke on November 9, 2004 at the Lindsay Funeral Home in Sydenham. Interment was at Sydenham Cemetery. SHIRES, Freda O., Passed away peacefully at Chateau Gardens on Thursday, February 16, 2005 in her 92nd year surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Captain James Shires (1987); loving mother of Diane and her husband the late Ken Co x and Lynda Shires all of St. Catharines. Very proud and precious nana of Corrine (Sean) McKernan, Maureen (Tim) Reynolds and Steven Cox; special great nana of Zachary, Joshua & Noah McKernan, and Marlie & Samantha Reynolds, who will always remember her for her feisty personality, weird sense of humour and numerous antics. The end of an era, Freda was the last of the 10 brothers and sisters in the Welland family, Walter, Arthur, Bob (Ida), Millie, Kitty, Lucy, Lottie, Noreen and Dorothy. Much lo ved Aunt Freda to Oodles and Ooodles of niece and nephews. Freda was a member of the Niagara Mariners Club and an avid Merritton Lions bingo player. The "Dragonlady"as we affectionately called her earned her title. She learned to drive in her 50's, l earned to "dive" in her 60"s, could do a mean headstand, beat cancer four times and turned 16 on her recent 91st birthday. She has left us with a lifetime of precious memories and inspired us to live life to the fullest. Born in Fall River, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Harvey C. and Blanche (Frennette) Briere and Alida (Doucette) Briere. She lived in the Westport/Fall River area most of her life. She co-owned Robillard Sand and Gravel in Westport. Mrs. Robillard was a communicant of St. George's Church, Westport. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors include a son, Roland "Rick" Robillard, and his wife, Lee, of Taunton, Mass.; three daughters, Jeanne Barry of Lumberton, Paulette Jones and her husband, Alan, of Olive Hill, Ky., and Diane Levasseur and her husband, Marc, of Harwich, Mass.; three brothers, Conrad Briere of Fall River, George Briere of Windsor Locks, Conn., and Paul Briere of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; a sister, Jeannette R. Roger L. Chavanne, metallurgist, teacher, international consultant, died February 9, 2005 in Aurora. Born March 20, 1924 in Bois-Colombes, France. Son of (Jacques Eugene) Louis and Carla Bunzl Chavanne. Apprenticed with Brown Boveri, Switzerland. Immigrated to St. Jean, Canada 1950 to open new company plant and teach welding at Ecole Professionelle d'Arts et Métiers. Moved to U.S. in 1955. Worked 31 years for Abex Corporation/Amsco Welding Products, first as assistant metallurgist and later as general manager. Developed welding applications and training manuals; conducted workshops for railroad and mining industries in North America, Mexico, Europe and Africa; managed marketing, sales, production & R&D; introduced quality circles and all-salaried team concept. Relocated to Denver in 1986 as consultant and market development manager for Thermadyne's Stoody Deloro Stellite division. Joined Service Corps of Retired Executives upon retirement in 1990 to lead marketing workshops, counsel business owners, promote careers in welding, and advise Governor's Colorado School-to-Work Transition Initiative. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Eve (nee Indergand) of Aurora, daughter Claudine, son Marc, brother Guy, their spouses, three grandchildren and a great grandson. Joseph Lawrence Ledet, Jr., 62, went home to eternal rest on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on February 22, 2005 from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 10:00am with a viewing from 8:30am - 10:00am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church under the direction of Community Funeral Chapel with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday morning. Joseph was a native of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana and lived in Beaumont for 36 years. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local (390) 2286, employed by Newtron Electrical, Inc. He was a member of the Diamond Social and Civic Club. HOLYOKE - Retired Police Captain, Adrian E. "Ace" Monty, age 88, died Friday, February 18, 2005 at the Holyoke Soldier's Home. A former civil service chief of detectives in the Holyoke Police Dept., Adrian served for thirty-four years until his retirement in 1971. He served in the United States Army in the Panama Canal Zone in 1941, and was a member of a secret military police detachment. A chief of operations NCO as an administration technician, and security NCO at the radar school in the Air Force. Adrian was a well-known area golfer and a teen age club champion, he represented several area golf clubs in Western MA, and played in Mass PGA events. He was a member of the Holyoke Police Relief Assn., and a Life Member of Holyoke Elks #902. Adrian was born in South Hadley, was a graduate of Holyoke High School, and earned an A.A. Degree from Western New England College, and also attended Boston College. Ace is survived by his wife of 59 years, Olga (Klemyk) Monty; a daughter, Barbara Monty, an attorney in San Francisco; and a granddaughter, Zoe. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all. There will be calling hours on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005 from 2 to 4 p.m. only at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., Holyoke. All other services will be private. Eleanor Nault McCLURE Died Feb. 18, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. Mrs. McClure led a lovely, courageous life. She was born April 21, 1918 in Nelson, BC. She moved to Seattle as a child, and after the nuns fattened her up with cream, she graduated from Queen Anne High School. After a charming courtship and secret engagement, she married her husband Donald K. McClure just before sending him off to fight in WWII. They raised three children, Donald K. McClure, Jr., Jean McClure Brockenbrough and John S. McClure. Mrs. McClure was a grandmother to 10 and great-grandmother to 10 more, including one great grandchild named Max, who has been waiting for her in heaven along with her husband, who died in 1985. She cared for many, both young and old and has a smile that won hearts everywhere she went. She was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sacred Heart Church. She also baked a legendary blueberry pie. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 19, at Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue. AUBURN— Henry L. Pelletier, 83, of Jerome Ave. died Thursday, February 17 in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness. His wife Jeannette (King) Kenney Pelletier died in 2001. He leaves a son Steven H. Pelletier of Rochdale; a daughter Mary Ann Ciappanelli of Auburn; three step daughters Patricia Gardner of Auburn with whom he lived and was his caretaker and Ann Smith of Speculator, NY, and Jo-Ann Kenney of Orange; a brother Ernest Pelletier of Worcester; many grandchildren and great grandchildren including Jordan Marie Marcustry. He is predeceased by a daughter Joyce Young and a step daughter Jean Margolis. He was born in Worcester son of Joseph and Stella (Grenier) Pelletier. Mr. Pelletier was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II in the Medical Detachment Unit. He worked for Thom McCann Shoe Company as a fork lift operator for 40 years retiring in 1980. He was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church. The funeral will be on Saturday, February 19 from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home (www.Royfuneral.com) 12 Hammond Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 53 Illinois Street, Worcester. LEWISTON - Rose D. Poulin, 85, of 43 Manley Road, Auburn, died Thursday, Feb. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center.She was born in Lewiston, Feb. 7, 1920, the daughter of Adolphe and Louise Michaud Picard.She was educated in Lewiston schools and was married Aug. 28, 1943 to Lionel E. Poulin, who predeceased her June 1, 1994.She was employed for 23 years at the Lewiston Bleachery, retiring in 1960.She was a member of the Auburn Catholic community at Sacred Heart Church and enjoyed her summer home at South Harpswell for 20 years.She is survived by four sisters-in-law, Laurette Poulin, Therese Gardner, Regina Poulin and Ruth Poulin, all of Lewiston; and 12 nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by a sister, Jeannette Olehowski, and a brother, Gerard Picard.

LEWISTON - Robert R. Pleau, 78, of 218 Old Lisbon Road, Lewiston, died Thursday, Feb. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side.He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 2, 1926, the son of Ernest and Yvonne (Chouinard) Pleau.On Nov. 22, 1952, he married the former Lenora Madore and had been married to for the last 52 years.He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, having been stationed in Pearl Harbor from 1944 to 1946 he received the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal.He was employed with the Lewiston Public Works in the Street Department.He was a former member of American Legion Post 22 and belonged to Holy Cross Parish.He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Red Sox, and enjoyed playing cards.Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Paul Pleau and his wife, Sue, of Lewiston, Roger Pleau of Vassalboro, and Jimmy Pleau and his wife, Carol, of Auburn; three daughters, Diane Freese and her husband, Dennis, of Roseland, Fla., Linda Lepage of Sabattus, and Cindy Lessard and her husband, Rick, of Greene; three brothers, Ernest, Roland and his wife, Jackie, and Raynald and his wife, Beatrice; four sisters, Yvonne Rousseau, Carmen Vellieux, Jacqueline Doucette and her husband, Ernest, and Jeannette Madore and her husband, Clarence; 13 grandchildren, Jason, Cody, Joshua, Elizabeth, Ryan, Jonathan, Nina, Brady, Louise, Janice, Roland, Trevor and Zachary; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by one daughter, Sandra Pleau, and one sister, Cecile Pleau.

HOLYOKE - Doris L. (Pleau) Chaffee, 74, formerly of Maple Street, Holyoke, died Wednesday at Holyoke Medical Center. Doris was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late John and Marie (Desroches) Pleau. She was a graduate of Precious Blood High School and retired from Ampad Company where she worked for many years. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Chaffee. She is survived by her sons, Gilbert and his wife Kathleen Chaffee of Holyoke, and Bruce and his wife Debra of Arkansas. She leaves her grandchildren, Chad, Wendy, Kim, and Kelly Chaffee and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke followed by a Mass in Holy Cross Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Lorraine Vachon, 63, of 194-1 Beech Hill Avenue, Manchester, NH, died February 17, 2005, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center after a long illness.She was born in Berlin, NH, on August 27, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bergeron) Springer, Sr., and had been a resident of Manchester for most of her life. After high school she joined the Woman’s Auxilliary Corp. Lorraine was retired from the Manchester City Welfare where she worked as a social worker for over 10 years. She belonged to the Lafayette Club and she loved her grandchildren.Family members include her daughter, Lorri (Vachon) Morin of Manchester, two sons; William Vachon of North Carolina and Steven Vachon of Maine, six granddaughters, two brothers; Joseph “Leroy” Springer, Jr. of Berlin, NH and Norman Springer of Louisianna, three sisters; Pauline McGreedy of Pennsylvania, Jeannette Dion of Florida and Margaret Woehlre of Massachusetts, many nieces, nephews and cousins.SERVICES: There will be no calling hours.
