FETTES, Joyce Isobel B.A. (Hon) (nee Mavor) Peacefully at her home on November 4, 2009 with her children at her side. Predeceased by her husband James Joseph Fettes (1976). Daughter of the late Hattie Helena (Good) Mavor and George Leslie Mavor. Loving and adored mother of Susan Diening, Jane Hansen (Paul) and David Fettes. Grandmother to Anton Diening (Nancy Bergeron), Leslie Diening (Stephane Bonetti), Victoria Scott (Glenn), Devon Hansen and Heather Hansen. Great-grandmother to Lucca, Matteo and Nicholas Bonetti, Abigael and Anthony Diening and yet to be born Baby Scott. Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick on June 12, 1922, Joyce graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1944. In December 1945, she married her beloved Jimmie and they settled in Ottawa in 1953, building a home near Manotick, Ontario in 1957. Always community minded, Joyce was an active volunteer for many years with St. James Anglican Church, the Miller's Oven and the Carleton Golf and Yacht Club - where she was awarded the first, and only, Honourary Membership in 2003 - an honour that she cherished. Joyce was also a crackerjack bridge player and will be especially missed by her bridge companions. Barry Milburn Fraser of Carp at the age of 54 years. Cherished husband for over 27 years of Darlene (nee Dupuis). Dearly loved son of Jessie Fraser (nee Denniston) of White Lake and the late Milburn Fraser. Proud and loved father of Tasha and Patrick, both at home. Dear brother of Kevin (Marion) of White Lake. TURNBULL Mary Susan (nee McCourt) Passed away peacefully November 1, 2009. Born September 14, 1915 at Young, Saskatchewan. Predeceased by her husband Colin, Mary is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughter Rena (Harry), grandsons Michael (Wendy), Geoff (Ellen) and four much loved great-grandchildren Matthew, Steven, Sydney and Ben as well as her good friend Margaret and the girls in her very special bridge group. HAWS, Etruria Alison (nee Wells) On August 14, 2009 Alison was peacefully called home to her Heavenly Father at the age of 90. She is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Neville of Victoria, daughter Patricia, currently residing in Prague, Czech Republic, son Philip and family (wife Elizabeth and sons Andrew, Troy, Brendan and Marcus) of Victoria and son Calvin and family (wife Jill, son David and daughters Emily and Grace) of Sherwood Park, Alberta and also by her brother Joseph and sister-in-law Marilyn of Indiana, USA and sister-in law Jane, currently residing in Arizona. She was predeceased by her brother Richard in 2007. Alison will be remembered for her gentleness, humility and love. She especially loved children and enjoyed it when her grandchildren came to visit. She and her husband Neville supported 20 compassion (third world) children over many years. Alison was also a loving, understanding and loyal wife to her husband of 55 years. In Oak Bay Lodge, her friendliness and sensitivity towards others showed in that she befriended and helped those around her. We will miss her warm, infectious smile that she always had when we came for a visit. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Oak Bay Lodge for all their care and support given to Alison. HENRY, Grace Lucretia 1916 2009 It is with great sadness the family of Grace Henry announces the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother on October 27, 2009. She is survived by her daughters, Deanna Irwin (Bill), Barbara Harris (Walter), Sandra Burnham (Ron), five grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Grace was pre-deceased by her first husband, Bill Mills, second husband, Carl Henry, grandson, Kelly Hjertholm, brothers Robert and Reginald Beaumont. Grace was born in the Mount Tolmie area, later moved to Central Saanich and afterwards to the Gorge area, where she remained for some forty-five years. She loved gardening, fishing and dancing, and in later years, travelling. Il laisse aussi ses beaux-frères et belles-sœurs de la famille Théroux: Gérard (Gisèle St-Germain), Thérèse (feu Gérard Desmarais), Aldor (Claire Lachapelle), Jeanne-Éva (Charles Desmarais), feu Aimée-Rose, feu Jeannette (Laurent St-Amand) et feu Lucien; ses neveux et nièces, ainsi que plusieurs autres parents et amis. L’accueil a eu lieu au salon Mandeville & Mineau, secteur Sorel, le jeudi 5 novembre, dès midi. Les funérailles ont été célébrées en l’église Saint-Pierre le même jour à 15 heures, suivies de l’inhumation au cimetière des Saints-Anges, de Sorel-Tracy.
